BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – To produce candidates for notaries and land deed officials (Pejabat Pembuat Akta Tanah, PPAT) who are reliable, professional and oriented, in addition to carrying out lectures according to the latest curriculum, Magister of Notary (Magister Kenotariatan) Universitas Pasundan has also developed a Notary Office and PPAT Laboratory in Campus V Postgraduate, Jalan Sumatera No. 41 Bandung.
It is no doubt that competency is very important for notary profession and PPAT. Both of them should hold the work basis, including the balance to create legal certainty, protect the client, as well as knowing the rights, obligation and law regulation.
The purpose of the development of PPAT office and laboratory is to provide practical experience of making deeds, reviewing deeds, filling in the deed repertoire, making monthly reports on notarial deeds and PPAT, as well as solving problems that arise in the field of notary and PPAT.
Head of Unpas MKN Department Irma Rachmawati, S.H., Sp.1., M.H., Ph.D stated that the office and laboratory were established according to its standard. The room was also closed designed since they are related to the confidentiality of the notarial deed.
“The office and laboratory are one of the supporting things for the course class which give the department its own characteristics. First, it distinguishes it to the other Magister Program. Second, it also distinguishes Unpas MKN to other MKN department in other universities,” she said.
PPAT laboratory is also equipped with supporting facilities, such as deed reading room, notary and staff room, as well as a safe to store books and notarial matters. Apart from keeping notarial matters and supporting facility for learning, this laboratory also becomes the interest for students’ candidates.
“Students of Unpas MKN department are facilitated to learn the protocol and storage for notarial matters as discipline as possible. This is importance because a notary will hand over the books, files and documents to other notary; therefore, they should be kept carefully,” he continued.
In supporting the curriculum, the office and Unpas PPAT laboratory collaborate with the Indonesian Association of Notary (Ikatan Notaris Indonesia, INI). Students will be tutored by instructor from the department, as well as holding a sharing-session of problem-solving occurred during the practice.
“We hope the office and laboratory could facilitate students to be more adaptive to the cyber update,” he concluded. (Reta)*
