BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – A Certified Independent Study (Studi Independen Bersertifikat, SIB) is part of the program Kampus Merdeka which is mostly getting students’ interest. Through SIB, students will learn a specific, practical and needed competence in the future.
Besides, students also have their opportunities to applied the competence practice in a real project, as well as interact to the experts in order to understand the application.
One of SIB programs which can be utilized by students is Sekolah Ekspor. Through the program ‘Digital Export’, Sekolah Ekspor opens opportunities for students to practice exporting by optimizing e-commerce and other digital business facilities.
Students are directed to become young exporters who are able to preserve digital technology, especially for agricultural products, creative industrial products and processed food products.
The Batch I of Sekolah Ekspor, which has just ended on 22 January 2022, has created approximately 198 export-ready products. The products produced by 777 students from 223 universities will be exported to Taiwan, Pakistan and Japan.
Students of Department of International Relation, Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) Universitas Pasundan, Luh Natasya Devi Arsana also shared her experience while joining the Batch I Sekolah Ekspor program; starting from registration process as well as benefits she obtained.
Natasya stated that Digital Export program covered the individual learning and project on developing the product carried out in group. There are at least 7 activities in the series of Digital Export program.
“We obtained the material presentation and its deepening, courses on export, asynchronous self-learning, mentoring, practice and test. We also obtained digital handout about global business, digital marketing, digital communication, digital payment, as well as e-commerce,” she said.
The outputs of Digital Export are not only about holding conference, exhibition and business matching in domestic and foreign country, but also publishing both virtual and printed catalogue to present students’ export products.
“From trainings given by Sekolah Eksport, students are able to produce innovative and creative local products, such as batik, woven rattan, local food and drinks, ethnic bags, wood carvings, even frozen herbs and spices,” she said.
Head of Department of International Relations FISIP Unpas Drs. Alif Oktavian, MH, keeps encouraging students to take participation in MBKM programs, like SIB. It is in line with the 4.0 industrial revolution and disruption era which are going to the era of metaverse.
In the department, students are able to substitute their final assignment or thesis by enclosing SIB output. It is included to the final assignment (non-thesis) which is divided into pure research and applied research.
“I invite all students to take MBKM selections to be able to obtain additional competence, since the competition will be tougher in the future. Therefore, make these opportunities (MBKM programs) as your preparation or asset to improve your competence and soft skill,” she concluded. (Reta)*
