BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Covid-19 pandemic which has been hitting the world for almost 2 years make the spirit of students of Universitas Pasundan to work harder and build their deeper social interaction.
During pandemic, various social activity and other achievements have been continuously gained by Unpas students, remarking that in the middle of such limited condition, they could still be productive, even more active.
Last October, a collaborative work between Unpas BEM, LKM and UKM has been successfully carried out in the form of Covid-19 Vaccination Program. With the purpose of getting accelerated of herd immunity and supporting the implementation of Limited Face-to-face learning process, the program successfully gathered around 3000 participants from the age of high schoolers and elders.
“The vaccination program was expected to be able to break people’ awareness and be a reminder to begin to be caring of the health. We would continue to stick to the program and social activity through the forum we have initiated, Forum Peduli Negeri,” explained the Head of Unpas BEM and Coordinator of Forum Peduli Negeri, Ujang Amrullah, on Saturday, 20 November 2021.
Regarding the humanitarian contribution during pandemic, Volunteer Corps of Indonesian Red Cross, Racana Pramuka, and Unpas students both individually or group are also involved in various programs; including socialization related to healthy lifestyle, health protocol notice or charity event for the disaster-affected area.
Certainly, we cannot forget the academic and non-academic achievements which always contribution for campus. The implementation of regulation for Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program should be used as optimal as possible by Unpas students. We cannot waste our time for unnecessary thing.
“During pandemic, there are a lot of Unpas students who passed the program by Kemendikbudristek and MBKM; including Talenta Inovasi Program, Pejuang Muda Program by Kemensos, Internship and Independent Study Program, Indonesian Entrepreneurship Program for Student, Kampus Mengajar, Wira Desa, Bangkit Program, PHP2D and many more,” explained Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si.
And there are also other programs and competitions, such as Jabar Innovation Fellowship (JIF), Jaba Future Leaders Scholarship, Millennial Adjutant for West Java Governor, medal achievement in Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XX Papua and Pekan Paralimpik Nasional (Peparnas) XVI Papua, Mojang Jajaka for Bandung District, and other achievements.
These series of productivities and achievement proved that pandemic is not obstacles to keep working and performing positive things. Campus will always support and encourage students in all aspects, both in moral and material way. (Reta)*
