BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – As the Covid-19 case has slowed down, especially in West Java, various sectors/fields have reopened their business/service, including the education fields.
Universitas Pasundan has also prepared its scheme for limited Face-to-Face Learning Process (Pembelajaran Tatap Muka, PTM) which will be held in Mid-October 2021 step by step.
Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. H. Jaja Suteja, SE., MSi explained that there are three schemes being prepared by Unpas related to the limited PTM: namely laboratory practice, final assignment trial session and pilot class. All schemes required to be implemented by still strictly applying on health protocol.
“First scheme is to reopen practice course, laboratory and studio. Its capacity for students is as much as 50%, based on students’ parents’ approval and students must have already been vaccinated,” he explained on Friday, 8 October 2021.
The second scheme is that final assignment trial for Bachelor Degree, thesis for Master Degree and open session for Doctoral Degree are held offline; students are not allowed to bring neither their friends nor parents along.
“During the trial session, students are not allowed to bring along their friends or parents to campus,” he continued.
The third scheme is the pilot class whose implementation needs to be coordinated by the department/study program and faculty. It should also have been already consulted earlier to Unpas Covid-19 Task Force.
“For pilot class, we have already worked with the central office, as well as consulted to both Unpas and Bandung Covid-19 Task Force,” he explained.
To anticipate the potential spread of Covid-19 transmission cluster within campus, Unpas has already appointed Covid-19 Task Force from each level; university and faculty, as well as arranged the handling-SOP if something unpredictable occurred in the middle of situation.
Later, Unpas Covid-19 Task Force will regularly carry out randomized sampling to the participants of limited PTM, including those who participate on those schemes mentioned above.
“Up until now, 95% of teachers and academic staffs have already been vaccinated for their second-dose. Meanwhile, students are still limited: about 15-20%. We will carry out PTM carefully, since it is very risky,” he said.
He also added that vaccination program for academic staffs will still be carrying out until it reaches 100%. Apart from that, mass vaccination program will also be re-held and target on students and public.
“We are still evaluating on the procurement of facility and infrastructure to support and provide the plan of re-opening the limited PTM,” he concluded. (Reta)*
