BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Rector of Universitas Pasundan Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si.,M.Kom., IPU. Officially announced the new Head of Bureau for Student Affairs, R. Hj. Iin Martina, SH, as a substitute of Drs. Dadang Djatnika. He also handed over the Decree to Plt. Head of Academic Bureau, Widya Utama, SE., on Wednesday, 2 February 2022.
The handover of this position made R. Hj. Iin Martina, SH as the first female Head of Student Affairs Bureau. Rector said that it removed the stigma about gender discrimination and proved that women can play a role in certain positions and professionalism.
“Gender is not a problem at all, because what is most important is competence and collaboration spirit to actualize Unpas’ vision as Entrepreneurial University which upholds Sundanese and Islamic Values in 2037,” he said.
The Rector also emphasized that in the era of paradigm sharing, synergy and collaboration spirit are necessarily needed to build an optimal working pattern. He urged to all heads of bureau to be more intense to hold the cooperation with other units and bureaus.
“For creating an entrepreneurial university, all efforts need to be taken in stage. Unpas should prepare itself as early as possible, including to put Entrepreneurship into a course in each department,” he said.
Meanwhile, Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si, stated he along the Bureau of Student Affairs will respond to Unpas vision according to the plan which has been set before.
“Since there are already new paradigms, we will carry out the 8 points of MBKM, including to hold a partnership with a company, tracer study, hold a counselling, Unpas link and match and its corporate and aim for more outstanding students’ achievement in provincial level,” he explained.
Today, tracer study activity in Unpas has its second position in West Java with a 50% percentage and will continue to be improved as the new Head of Bureau takes serve.
The Vice Rector III also appointed the Head of Studen Affairs Bureau to be leading sector program of counselling for students; while link-and-match with the corporate is aimed to improve both students’ hard skill and soft skill.
“One of the methods to improve the soft skill is taking active performance in student institution/organization. We direct the students to join the creativity program and encourage them by mentoring activity,” he explained.
He hoped that Head of Student Affairs Bureau and Plt. of Head of Academic Bureau who has achieved the Decree from the Rector could direct the students to be able to compete and competitive, as well as getting synergized to achieve the vision of becoming entrepreneurial university,” he concluded.
