BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – In various aspects of life, especially in business sector, the professionals are needed, especially in holding the skills of creating the deeds ran by graduates of notary students.
Directly or indirectly, the success of notarial education will encourage the development of Indonesia. Notary profession is able to contribute in creating legal certainty. To produce a qualified candidate of notary, there will probably need to be an understanding about the method of law research and thesis-writing plan.
Therefore, Magister of Notary Universitas Pasundan holds a Focus Group Discussion entitled “Menemukan Metode Penelitian yang Tepat untuk Magister Kenotariatan” at the Hall of Mandala Saba Dr. Djoendjoenan, Paguyuban Pasundan Building, Jalan Sumatera No. 41, Bandung.
FGD was attended by 40 participants consisted of Indonesian Association of Notary (Ikatan Notaris Indonesia, INI), teachers, stakeholder and students of Magister of Notary from various universities.
According to Unpas Head of Magister of Notary Irma Rahcmawati, S.H., Sp.I., M.H., Ph.D, today Magister of Notary keeps becoming popular topic within notary fields.
“Usually, notary level of education only ends in Bachelor Degree. Through this Magister program, it could give another logical consequence in completing final assignment,” she explained on Saturday, 9 October 2021.
On one side, there are a lot of people stating that writing the thesis for Magister student is not very urgent. However, according to the current latest regulation, writing the thesis is an obligation for Magister students.
“The solution is, we hold the FGD to review the research methodology and form of report. We are looking for the shortcut, adjusted to the guidelines and reference to how students could complete their final study,” she continued.
She also added that the FGD is regularly held once in a year (usually in new academic year) to adjust to the curriculum change.
“The curriculum keeps changing and does not even stop, especially when it comes to dynamic practice. The law also keeps updated as Omnibus Law has been arranged,” she said.
One of the participants of FGD, as well as teacher of Unpas Magister of Notary Dr. Teddy Chandra, S.H., M.Kn stated that the FGD with such discussion is important to provide a know-how matters for teachers in strengthening the vision and mission of the campus and department.
“Through this FGD, we have obtained few ideas in doing the research in order to make it useful for people. It basically helps students to do their research, along with practicing knowledge they obtained in the university,” she concluded. (Reta)*
