BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – As a form of contribution and building social awareness, Student Organization of Economic Education (Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi, HIMAKSI) Department Universitas Pasundan held a social charity as year of 2021 ended.
Social charity event brought the theme of “Tebarkan Kepedulian, Cipatakan Kebersamaan, Berbagi Kebahagiaan” was held on Sunday, 26 December 2021 and located at Malikul A’la Orphanage, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Gg. Surareja, Bandung.
Head of HIMAKSI 2021/2022, Muhammad Alman Khuzaimy said that the social charity is not only the organization routine program agenda, but also a form of students’ concern and awareness to the people.
“It is as one of forms of University Tri Dharma, one of which is to serve community. Therefore, we took initiative to hold this social charity and strengthen the silaturahmi,” he said.
He also stated that other than social charity program, there are also a sharing session between the foundation and student organization. The 25-member of HIMAKSI are directly welcomed by Head of the Orphanage, Ramdani.
On that occasion, both parties shared information about economic education, especially about digital-based economic maintenance.
“Seeing the current conditions that are increasingly advanced, especially from the technological aspect, we also share with each other about digital-based financial management,” he said.
Alman also said that by holding social services like this, it is hoped that it would become a bridge of brotherhood and be able to build sustainable cooperation.
“There are several positive things from this program, one of which is to increase more concern and awareness to our environment, as well as get to know to each other,” he added.
Previously, HIMAKSI also too contributed to other social activities such as opening donations for victims of the natural disaster (floods) in Kota Batu-Malang, Sintang-West Kalimantan, the eruption of Mount Semeru-Lumajang, and directly helping victims affected by the floods in Garut Regency some time ago.
“Hopefully HIMAKSI would continue to be able to carry out positive activities, especially in the new year of 2022, both social and other activities,” he concluded. (Rico)*
