BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Coinciding with the series event of 2022 Bulan Suci Berbagi on the Street (BUBOS) initiated by West Java Provincial Government, Unpas Association of Employee’s Wives (Ikatan Istri Keluarga Unpas, IIKU), again provides and distributes package of basic necessity to dhuafa and orphans.
On Thursday, 14 April 2022, IIKU provides the packages in several points in Bandung: starting from distributing 50 packages in RW 06 in Kelurahan Pasteur, Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak (PSAA) Al-Fien Sarijadi and other area.
The plan is that the basic needs will be distributed until Saturday, 16 April 2022, assisted by the IIKU of each faculty. The locations and targets for receiving basic necessities are the target villages/kelurahan, nursing homes, and local residents in need.
IIKU administrator Evie Sophia, M.I.Kom said, the collaboration between IIKU and BUBOS is expected to help ease the burden on residents while strengthening the relationship.
“Alhamdulillah, this activity can be carried out. Residents of RW 06 Kelurahan Pasteur are very enthusiastic, especially now that the price of basic needs is increasing,” she said.
Around 10 o’clock, the residents are fulfilling the yard of PAUD Pelangi, Gang Akinari, RW 06 Kelurahan Pasteur. They exchanged the coupons for packages containing rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, ready-to-eat food, and so on.
On the same day, IIKU also visited the Al-Fien Sarijadi Children’s Orphanage (PSAA), Bandung. IIKU handed over food aid and was warmly welcomed by the orphanage children.
“There are about 50 orphan children living in PSAA Al-FIen. They are good in memorizing the Koran and with God’s willing, fisabilillah,” she continued.
She hopes that the 2022 BUBOS program would be successful and IIKU can continue to participate every year. “Hopefully it can become a routine IIKU activity in the context of caring for others and the welfare of the people,” she concluded. (Reta)*
