BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Facing the upcoming national event of 2021 Indonesian Third Series Eshark Rok Cup in Sentul International Karting Circuit Bogor on next Sunday, April 11th, 2021, Unpas HMM (Himpunan Mahasiswa Mesin) Kart Team has already done lots of preparation.
This is to make sure that the preparation, both technically and non-technically, such as machine condition and racers are in the full-and-perfect condition.
The General Manager and Mechanics of Unpas HMM Kart Team, Lukman Sholehudin stated that the technical preparation and the go-cart machine itself have already been in perfect and optimal condition. Currently, his team is now the last checking before the competition.
“Machine condition has been fully prepared. We also have done the last test-drive of the racers before going to the real race,” he said at Unpas Campus IV, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 193, on Friday (April 9th, 2021)
Lukman also added that other than optimizing the machine condition, the other important things are to make the racers physically and mentally prepared.
“Racers’ physical and mental readiness, knowledge of racing field, as well as racers’ understanding of kart machine are also very important. This will help mechanics set proper engine settings for the racers,” he added.
The racers who will get to the race in the third series are M. Iqbal Tawakal in the Rok Shifter class, Imam M. Shayid and Shidqii Rihhadatul Aqiillah Al Nasywaa in the Shifter University class.
Racer M. Iqbal Tawakal said that he was optimistic to be able to complete the race in the first place on this series. He thought that a racer should have a strong will and optimism.
“Insya Allah, I am ready for the race tomorrow. What is most important is we need to always evaluate each race of the series and practice, of course. Other than maintaining the stamina, the performance should be consistent, or even increasing,” he said.
Especially for Iqbal, in this race, he is going to compete to fight for an international ticket on the final Italian Rok Super next year if he is able to be a champion in this year’s season
“I hope I would give my best performance and become a champion to be able to get on the international event. The champions of Cadet Rok, Mini Rok, Junior Rok, Senior Rok, Expert Rok and Rok Shifter will also compete in the worldwide championship,” he explained.
In line with Iqbal, Imam M. Shavid also said that he was optimistic in this series. He always made a regular communication with mechanics to optimize the engine condition and do a last-minute practice before the race.
“I hope I could re-reach my record on the first place, and other team members will also give their best performance and become champions,” he ended. (Rico B)*
