BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – The offline learning (Pembelajaran Tatap Muka, PTM) in Universitas Pasundan is targeted to be hold in next July, according to the circular letter issued by the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim.
The readiness and preparation of facilities and infrastructure, strict health protocol and discipline of every human resources, including teachers, academic staffs and students become the main key in implementing the PTM.
It was stated by Unpas’ health expert as well Vice Rector III of Faculty of Medicine, dr. Trias Nugrahadi. He also stated that the implementation of health protocol and availability of facilities and infrastructure must work in harmony with the discipline of every human resources.
Seen from the human resources, vaccination also becomes the most important thing before starting the offline learning (PTM). Today, Paguyuban Pasundan is still giving its vaccination service, especially for the elders and public service staffs, including teachers.
“The preparation of offline learning should be observed from two point of views, both human resources and facilities, infrastructures as well. Human resources, for example, teachers, academic staffs, etc; they need to be vaccinated. Even during fasting, we can neither cancel nor reschedule the vaccination process. The phase-1 and phase-2 vaccination must be 28 days apart,” he explained at Unpas Campus IV, Jalan Sumatera No. 41, Bandung, on Monday (April 19th, 2021).
He also added that the phase-2 vaccination participants who cannot do the vaccination will be removed from the list because it is already expired from the deadline. The 28-days-apart gap is highly needed in order to create and form an optimal antibody titer.
Other than vaccination, staffs who live outside the city are required to show and fulfil the result form of Covid-19 screening, which are PCR swab or antigen test. However, we still need to be aware in order not to harm other people.
“We need to form a protocol that requires human resources in the campus to have a log book. Its purpose is to find out where he goes and what activities he does in one day. The point is, it takes awareness and discipline in order to make optimal offline learning process,” he explained.
Related to the facilities and infrastructure, dr. Trias said that the classroom should have a good air circulation and a 1-meter-gap seat. Other than that, it is also important to provide more washbasins located in front of the classroom and spray disinfectant, before and after the class starts.
“To prepare the offline learning is not an easy and cheap task. There are a lot of people saying that it is a simple thing to do. But in fact, there are also a lot of schools are not allowed to re-open, because they think keeping the distance of social and physics is enough to do at school,” he said.
Dr. Trias also said that the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of PTM implementation has been so far detailedly prepared as possible as it can, including to the complex aspects. The SOP formulation is supposed to anticipate consequences, in order to prevent Unpas for being new cluster of Covid-19 cases. What is most important thing is that all staffs should be vaccinated to make the body immune even a little.
“We should remind each other for mutual safety, especially making ourselves obeyed the rule and sure that there is no risk of transmitting or being transmitted. The efforts will be useless if the human resources will not cooperate or be disciplined, even if the facilities or infrastructure is complete,” he ended (Reta Amaliyah S)*
