BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Kemendikbudristek re-opened the registration for the Program of Kampus Mengajar for the 3rd batch. Similar to previous program, the target of Batch 3 Kampus Mengajar is schools in 3T (terdepan, terpencil, tertinggal (frontmost, remote, left behind)) areas.
This program opens opportunities for students to help the learning process, carry out technology adaptation, support administration and management at school, conducts socialization program form Kemendikbudristek learning product, education ambassador for behaviour change during pandemic, as well as strengthening the numeracy and literacy.
In the first and second batch, there were more 100 students of Universitas Pasundan passed the selection to take part in Kampus Mengajar. Some of Unpas teachers were also appointed to be Field Supervisory Teacher (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan, DPL).
Coordinator for Unpas MBKM Program, Dr. Cartono, M.Pd., M.T said that Unpas has been providing as much opportunities as possible and been prepared to facilitate its students who are willing to join the MBKM program, including Kampus Mengajar.
“MBKM gives positive effects for every element, both for students, teachers, departments, faculties, as well as university, in improving the competence based on their capacities,” he said.
The openness of Kampus Mengajar targeted for all students in various departments became creativity facility and self-improvement, including the leadership, communication, social and discipline.
“Kampus Mengajar has a lot of benefits, not only for the education-major or teaching-major students. All students can learn about the learning concept, interpersonal skill and leadership during the program,” he continued.
The increase of number of Unpas students registered in Batch 2 Kampus Mengajar has proved that the program is starting to get their interest. Even more, there were a lot of non-education-major students who passed the program and had the opportunity to try new experience of teaching.
“Kampus Mengajar is really good to improve students’ creativity. Alumni of the program, especially from Unpas, mostly implemented the creative method of teaching during the program, such as making advantage of animation, cultural literacy and others,” he said.
Those benefits also vary, including the 20-credit conversion adjusted to each department, allowance, tuition fees (for students who are not currently achieving any fund-assistance from the government) and other else.
“Hopefully, this batch’s program would be getting to increase. This is the extraordinary opportunity for college students to help other primary/secondary students who are currently left behind for learning. Also, this is a part of noble service in social activity, as well as valuable experience,” he said.
