BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – As one of the well-known universities in West Java, Unpas has already been undergoing so much in creating many generations through education. During its journey, Unpas has successfully recorded a lot of achievements and created alumni spread throughout Indonesia, even more foreign country.
This achievement Unpas obtained has also been seen in the lists shown by university-ranking institution which is located in Sydney, Australia: 4ICU UniRank. Based on the data released last February 2021, Unpas is placed 9th out of 10 best private universities in Indonesia.
The rank then placed Unpas on the 3rd best private university in West Java. Meanwhile, Unpas is placed nationally on the 35th position, along with other state and private universities in Indonesia.
Rector of Universitas Pasundan, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU greatly appreciated the release of 4ICU UniRank. He thought, even the ranking-list was not the main of Unpas intention, it could be the indicator of the quality of university.
“Alhamdulillah, this assessment becomes the valuable price for Unpas to improve more on quality of education. Definitely, in listing the rank, the related institution gave its assessment objectively through the required criteria,” he said.
If it is responded positively, indicator of university ranking list might show brief overview to transform to a better way. The achievement encourages Unpas to improve the competency of teachers and students, quality of human resources, produce more journals and researches, as well as providing its best service the students.
“We will consider the ranking list as an evaluation to create a better reputation for Unpas. We commit to provide the best service to improve the education,” he continued.
Every year, UniRank routinely release a survey data and feedback of more than 13.800 universities worldwide. Recently, this worldwide-institution has released the rank of 577 universities in Indonesia.
In listing the rank, UniRank use three criteria of main assessment, namely to have a university national accreditation, to have both Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree, and to hold an offline (face-to-face) learning process.
Reported from the website of UniRank, universities listed in the rank should also be registered in Global University Ranking under the supervision of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. UniRank also considers the algorithm consisting of five matrixes of independent websites, namely Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, Similar Web Global Rank, Majestic Reffering Domains and Majestic Trust Flow.
Other than UniRank, Webometrics as well as Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology also placed Unpas in the 100th best university in Indonesia. (Reta, Rico B)*
