BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Last January 2022, Ministry of State-owned Enterprises, represented by Forum of Human Capital Indonesia (FHCI) opened opportunities for students in several state/private universities to take participation in the 2022 Batch I Certified-Internship Program for Student (Program Magang Mahasiswa Bersertifikat, PMMB)
This program involving 146 State-owned Enterprises aims to provide and enrich the insight as well improve students’ skill to be ready for creating excellent human resources, especially in facing global challenge.
Based on what have decided by FHCI, there are 7 students of Universitas Pasundan who have been confirmed to pass the PMMB’s match up selection held by two companies of State-owned Enterprises. Those seven students passed the selection in a different unit, they are:
- Ari Febriansyah Kurnia (Magister of Business Management) in PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (Director’s Office)
- Hera Ardini Nur Salamah (Accounting Department) – PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (Director’s Office)
- Milleni Fitria Sasmita (Accounting Department) – Perum Perhutani (Department of PPB)
- Alvian Wibisono (Management Department) – PT Pegadaian (Cirebon Office)
- Afif Maulana Akbar (Management Department) – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Bekasi)
- M. Bima Aji Pratama (Business Administration Department) – PT Pertamina (PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan – Planning and Reserves)
- Prabu Mase (Communication Studies Department) – PT Bio Farma (Company’s Secretary)
Furthermore, participants who have passed the selection will be doing internship program for 6 months in the related companies. This program is planned to be going well and effective, starting from Mid-March 2022 or by SOE’s regulation and policy.
“Congratulation for all students. Make this experience of having internship program in SOE as your preparation to face the actual industry field,” said Unpas Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU, on Monday, 7 March 2022.
The class-of-2019 Communication Studies Department student, Prabu Mase felt grateful that he could be one of 2.538 students who passed the selection of 2022 Batch I PMMB FHCI. He, who previously once attended internship program of Kampus Merdeka, was really enthusiastic to welcome PMMB FHCI.
“Having an internship in SOE will be the most valuable experience and certainly give us its own challenge, as well as be the place to explore new things,” he said.
Prabu who has interest in broadcasting will combine the basics of Communication Studies, such as public relation, and journalistic to be applied into the community, based on the need in the unit he works on.
“I thought I would be placed in the unit whose prospect is in line with the department I took. I did not expect to get this position, as company’s secretary. But, we needed to be prepared anywhere,” he said.
Regarding future plans, as Prabu stated, this internship program can be used as a stepping stone to get into SOE, especially if the progress for 6 months goes well.
Through this opportunity, Prabu wanted to maximize opportunities and adopt a corporate work system, especially related to discipline.
“I will try to maintain the good name of Unpas and give my best during the internship program. I will also invite friends to participate in similar programs so that we can be successful and productive together,” he said. (Reta)*
