BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Student and alumnus of Universitas Pasundan had a chance to join internship program in Organization of Local Apparatuses (Organisasi Perangkat Daerah, OPD) for West Java through the program of 2022 Jabar Innovation Fellowship (JIF).
Student of Department of Economic Development Ulfah Mawaddah and alumnus of Faculty of Law Rian Hidayat become two of 25 participants who passed the selection of 2022 JIF. Both of them have competed to more than 1600 registrants who also had their own excellences and uniqueness.
Prepared by soft skill and hobbies for writing an article, news, copy writing, public speaking and managing social media, Ulfah wanted to dedicate herself and contribute her action through her potential and thoughts as one of young generation on behalf of building a better OPD of West Java.
“I also want to find out how the organization works in running the task and apply various positive values, both internally and externally,” she stated.
Although the internship placement is going to be announced in early July, Ulfah is optimistic that she can be placed at the Regional Personnel Agency (Badan Kepegawaian Daerah, BKD), Office for Communication and Information (Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika, Diskominfo), Human Resource Development Agency (Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia, BPSDM), or Office for Regional Library and Archive Service (Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah, Dispusipda).
Other than being prepared by skill, Ulfah’s optimism was also accompanied by various achievements she has obtained before, such as Runner-up of Pemuda Menulis Competition along with KAA Museum, Ditjen IKP and 2020 Kemenlu; student internship program in Bandung Disarpus, as well as being the 2021 Reading Ambassador (Duta Baca) for West Java.
“My writing/work has been once published in one of journals maintained by the campus. During the time I have been working on the 2021 Duta Baca for West Java, I got more knowledges and experiences, especially in the sector of digital archives and library. I can establish more relations and public speaking,” she said on Wednesday, 29 June 2022.
Apart from those offices/agencies mentioned above, Ulfah is ready to be placed anywhere and work professionally. Besides attending the bootcamp, Ulfah also tried to strengthen and tighten her critical thinking to be more adapted to the situation.
“When some people worry about having been forced to adapt to a new place, I actually felt the other way,” she continued.
On the other hand, Rian Hidayat who have been active in UKM Students’ Regiment (Resimen Mahasiswa, Menwa) during college and is currently continuing his study at School of TNI Career Soldier (Sekolah Perwira Prajurit Karier TNI, SEPA PK TNI) said that he was ready to give innovations for West Java.
“With various achievements, organizational experiences and other soft skills, I am ready to take contribution for West Java and help accelerate other excellent programs from the government and West Java,” he confirmed. (Reta)**
