BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Another achievement is again proudly presented by student of Universitas Pasundan.
This student of Department of Business Management, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Megawati Tamesti Maheswari won the bronze medal in Women’s Taekwondo at the 2021 Vietnam SEA Games.
This Bandung athlete competed at the category of Kyorugi (fight) U53kg. She also strengthened the Indonesian taekwondo team along with other 10 athletes.
So far, Indonesian Taekwondo team has already collected one gold medal, one silver medal, and eight bronze medals. At Papua PON XX, Mega successfully presented gold medal after having a fierce battle with representative from Southeast Sulawesi.
Quoted from Tribun Jabar, Mega has been in Taekwondo since she was in the 2nd grade of elementary school. Interestingly, at the beginning of participating in a taekwondo match, Mega often cried because she was often hit in the face.
Mega was recorded to get silver medal at the 2016 Jeonju Korea Open International Competition and gold medal at West Java PON XIX.
“I want to compete at the Olympic. I wish I would get there soon,” she said.
Congratulations and thank you for the achievement, Megawati Tamesti Maheswari! (Reta)**
