Students Enrollment

UNPAS was established since November 14th, 1960. UNPAS has well grown and developed into a leading university and become the pride of the community since then. It is proven by its largest number of students enrolled to this university among Kopertis Region IV West Java and Banten.

Students do not only come from 33 provinces in Indonesia, but also from other neighbor countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, Somalia, Hungary, Poland, Taiwan, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, Canada, Timor Leste, Uzbekistan, Germany, Japan, China, Tajikistan, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Australia and Kirgizstan. Up until now, UNPAS has 7 faculties, 26 Bachelor Degree study programs, 7 Master Degree study programs and 3 Doctoral Degree study programs.

The academic activities are well carried out by experienced teachers who consist 32 professors, 85 Doctorates, 254 Masters and 8 foreign teachers from South Korea and China. In 2009, UNPAS, among other 3 private universities in Indonesia, received a grant for international university promotion, based on QS Stars.

UNPAS also has achievements obtained, as followed:

  1. UNPAS has the largest number of professors compared to other private universities in Kopertis IV (based on the data in April 2012, there were 35 professors).
  2. UNPAS has the largest number of teachers. About 137 are Doctoral graduates and 228 Master graduates.
  3. UNPAS has 8 foreign teachers: 8 were from South Korea (2006) and 7 were from Hebei Normal University of People’s Republic of China (2009).
  4. UNPAS has the largest number of study programs ranked “A” from BAN-PT, compared to other private universities in West Java and Banten.
  5. UNPAS becomes one of the universities trusted by other countries to send their students to study. The students are from several countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, Somalia, Hungary, Poland, Taiwan, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, Canada, Timor Leste, Uzbekistan, Germany, Japan, China, Tajikistan, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Australia and Kirgizstan.
  6. UNPAS is listed in 50 Promising Indonesian Universities among 2.838 state and private universities in Indonesia.
  7. UNPAS is the only one university in Kopertis IV which got research grant from JICA by Community Empowerment Program (CEP).
  8. UNPAS obtained grant of Competition A2 (PHK A2), P3AI, PHK-Institution, PHK TIK, and Grant Program of Internship and Microteaching, PHK-APM DIKTI 2009/2010, and Transfer Program of Technology and Research Fund.
  9. Students of UNPAS won world championship (The World Alpinist Championship) in the United States of America.
  10. Students of UNPAS won the national Business Application Competition.
  11. Students of UNPAS won Gold Medal in the International Taekwondo in Geon Ju, South Korea.
  12. In 2009, UNPAS won Taekwondo Bronze Medal in the 25th Sea Games in Vientiane, Laos.
  13. Students of UNPAS won the National Go-cart Race in Surabaya.
  14. Students of UNPAS won the Scientific Work Competition Kopertis IV.
  15. Students of UNPAS won Runner-up in the National Judo Championship.
  16. Students of UNPAS won the Gold Medal in the National Wrestling Championship.
  17. Students of UNPAS won the Gold Medal in the 2012 ASEAN Taekwondo Championship.
  18. Students of UNPAS won the Best Winner in the National Film Poster Design, entitled “BATAS” in 2011.
  19. Students of UNPAS was the finalist of the National PKM.
  20. Students of UNPAS won the National Electric Car Acceleration Competition EIVC 2013.
  21. UNPAS has received funds for its cooperation in strengthening and developing the cocoa industry in 5 provinces including Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, West Java, West Nusa Tenggara and Jambi.
  22. UNPAS gained the trust to build the design and manufacture of road-sweeper vehicle.
  23. UNPAS gained the trust to build the design of Airport equipment.
  24. UNPAS gained the trust to build the prototype of 500 cc 1-cylinder diesel engine.
  25. UNPAS won the champion in Open Marching Competition, the Jember International Event Cup.
  26. IT-based and Hotspot Area covered campus.
  27. Top 25 Favorite Private Universities (SWA Magazine) in Java since 2006.
  28. UNPAS collaborated to North Star Developer, South Korea, in implementing Ubiquitoes Learning and Ubiquitoes Based Test (UBT).
  29. Silver medalist in the Invention, Research and Innovation Exhibition in University of Putra Malaysia. It entitled “The Escalation of Cocoa Butter Production using Supercritical Fluid Technology: Optimization of Operating Conditions, Simple Matrix and Co Solvent Studies”, translated from Bahasa Indonesia “Peningkatan Produksi Cocoa Butter menggunakan Teknologi Fluida superkritis: Optimasi Kondisi Operasi, Matrix Sederhana dan Co Studi pelarut” in 2007.
  30. Gold Medalist in the Invention, Research and Innovation Exhibition in University of Putra Malaysia. It entitled “The Sample of Matrix Study of Cocoa Butter Extraction using Supercritical Fluid” in 2006.
  31. First Runner-up in the National Poster Competition, Food Science and Technology, Institute of Food Technology Malaysia. It entitled “The New Technology of Cocoa Butter Production Escalation”, translated from Bahasa Indonesia, “Teknologi Baru Peningkatan Produksi Kakao Butter” in 2005.
  32. UNPAS ranked 7 among 9 criterion in Asia, based on University of QS (www.topuniversities.com).
  33. UNPAS ranks 3rd in Indonesia and 224th in Asia during the International Faculty Ratio
