BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Providing digital library in the middle of pandemic situation is the effective solution to optimize online learning and simplify access for literature. To support the access and reference for student’s final project, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Pasundan launched a digital library service.
Unpas FISIP librarian Trias Pyrenia, S.Sos., M.I.Kom said that Unpas FISIP digital library is an effort to improve library service, considering the fact that there is a visit limitation to the library.
“Digital library is offered in two forms, namely Digilib FISIP Unpas for electronic book (e-book) and Repo FISIP Unpas for electronic undergraduate final project,” she explained on Wednesday, 16 February 2022.
To access the digital library, students can download the application Digilib FISIP Unpas (without space) on their android phone or visit the website https://kubuku.id/download/digilibfisipunpas.
Students will be asked for registration process for creating the account or signing in if they already had one. After logging in, students can directly use the features available in the library.
“Digilib FISIP Unpas is equipped with service for reading books, borrowing books, listening to audio, and donating books,” she said.
The application also contains complete details of the book, from the title to the amount of stock available. This feature will help students find out information about books to be read or borrowed.
“There are also read now and borrow features. For the read now feature, students are only allowed to read. When finished, the book will automatically return to the shelf or stock. In the borrow feature, students can borrow books with a predetermined time limit,” she said.
For donations, students can donate books or points. Digital book donations are adjusted to the needs of the library, both to increase the stock of existing book and new book. Later, the name of the donor will be attached to the book that has been donated.
While point donations are in the form of donating point whose nominal amount can be chosen. The points donated can be used by the library for shopping to add to the collection of digital books.
For digital undergraduate final project (lit. skripsi), students can access it on the website repo.fisip.unpas.ac.id, but the students must have contacted the administration staff first to activate their username.
“Students are also allowed to come to the library by still paying attention to the strict health protocol. They can only borrow books and are not allowed to read on the spot [library],” she concluded. (Reta)*
