BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Teacher of Magister Program of Mathematics Universitas Pasundan, Dr. Nenden Mutiara Sari, M.Pd passed the selection for Matching Fund program for Batch 3, 2022 Fiscal Year.
Matching Fund is a real actualization of support of Kemendikbudristek for creating collaboration and strategic synergy between people working on the university and industry in producing innovative and solution-made works.
It also allows universities to be able to implement the activities and outcomes of the program. Universities are also able to be a problem solver of the current issues of Dunia Usaha and Dunia Industri (DUDI) and community.
For DUDI, Matching Fund is greatly useful to solve problems through innovation initiated by other universities; therefore, it could fix the aspects of profitable business sustainability which is really important.
The proposal submitted to the program was entitled “Pengembangan Games Interaktif Berbasis Word Problem untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Numerasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar”.
This was research carried out by Unpas teacher and in line with the new concept of learning on Mathematics (as a course).
Word problems is one of three problems in the context of math’s problem solving, besides application problems and decision-making and argument problem.
Among three kinds of problem, word problem is often found in math’s problem solving at the level of Primary/Elementary School. There are many elementary school students find it hard when asked to solve the questions in a form of word problem.
The proposal and ideas submitted by Unpas teacher were approved to get funding from Kemendikbudristek because it was considered to be able to contribute to the achievement of the 8 Key Performance Indicators (Indikator Kinerja Utama, IKU) and answer the problems faced by DUDI. (Reta)**
