BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – As a form of dedication and service to the community, students in Universitas Pasundan build the synergy to initiate a social activity called Forum Peduli Negeri.
Holding tightly to the University Tri Dharma, students who will join the forum are expected to be able to be the problem solver as well as solution for the society.
Coordinator of Forum Peduli Negeri, Ujana Amrullah said that the organization is a collaboration between Student Institution (Lembaga Kemahasiswaan, LKM) and Student Activity Unit (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa, UKM) under the supervision of Unpas Vice Rector III, Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si.
Ujang added that before the establishment of Forum Peduli Negeri, the program of community service or other social activity seemed to be a competition or prestige to show which student units are the most superior to each other.
“Forum Peduli Negeri was initiated after a long period of lack of harmony between LKM and UKM. When it comes to community service, awareness and humanity, Unpas students mush put aside their respective ‘institutional’ egos to focus on a common goal,” he explained.
He thinks that Unpas students should stick to the principle of familyhood to create massive movement which is useful for the community.
Last October, Forum Peduli Negeri along with Student Executive Board (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa, BEM), LKM and UKM have held Covid-19 vaccination program for high school student and public.
“The event was held to improve student’s awareness and help accelerate vaccination program to create herd immunity, considering the fact that current health condition in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic is getting much worse and worrying,” he continued.
Today, Unpas Forum Peduli Negeri is preparing the activity related to New Normal Adaptation (Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru, AKB), collaborating with West Java BPBD and social community for humanity.
“We hope Unpas Forum Peduli Negeri would keep committed, consistent and be aware on current issues in the society. When people needed help, Unpas student would soon get to be the solution for their problems,” he concluded. (Reta)*
