BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – To support the first phase of 2021/2022 New Student Admission, Universitas Pasundan Bandung has already prepared 18 internet servers. This year admission is still carried out online, due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Rector of UNPAS, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusup Sp., M.Si., M.Kom stated that the New Student Admission has already been opened since January 4th, and it will be closed in April 24th, 2021.
“The prospective students currently are available to register online. It can be done from anywhere they can. They are also able to view UNPAS’ profile from the websites or from each departments’ page,” explained the Rector, in UNPAS Campus IV, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi, on Tuesday (March 2nd, 2021).
During the online system, the whole process of registration and Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (lit. Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB)) can be done by every prospective student at home. The Rector said that every year UNPAS has been accepting students of multiple degrees: Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree.
The Selection Test Registration (lit. Pendaftaran Ujian Saringan Masuk (USM)) is divided into 3 phases whose process can be accessed online. The first phase started from January 4th – April 24th, 2021, the second phase from April 26th – July 3rd, 2021 and the third phase from July 6th – August 14th, 2021.
The Rector also said that although Covid-19 pandemic has not yet ended, UNPAS would still make use of digital technology to be used in the learning process. For the next plan, facilities and infrastructures would also be completed, as well as expand the broadband itself; therefore, the students could do the online learning process anywhere they can.
“We will make use of digital technology to control the development of science in UNPAS,” the Rector added. He also stated that the online admission is a way of UNPAS to keep moving and give its best service to the public.
Apart from the admission, other activities such as lecture, scientific activity and graduate ceremony are also virtually carried out. To support the online admission run smoothly, UNPAS has already prepared 18 internet servers to provide the registration process equipped with high broadband for new prospective students.
