BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – About 11 students of Universitas Pasundan passed as recipients for the selection of Jabar Future Leaders Scholarship (JFLS) announced on Friday, 30 September 2022.
In previous year, there were 16 Unpas students who passed the selection for Bachelor Degree (Acceleration, 1 year). However, this year there are four students who got full scholarship.
JFLS is a fund-assistance program for higher education from West Java Provincial Government through the Office of Education. This fund assistance is intended for the people of West Java who are studying at the Diploma to Doctorate Degree and having achievements in both academic and non-academic fields.
Students who pass the selection will receive benefits in the form of tuition assistance and mentoring programs. The mentoring program is aimed at improving quality, self-potential, and adding new insights that promote the values of leadership and entrepreneurship (entrepreneurship).
Providing Lots of Benefit
One of JFLS recipients for three consecutive years, who is also student of Department of Law Studies Unpas, Valda Zahirra Sidqi said that there are lots of benefits she received from this program.
Not only being funded for education, she also got new insight from tutoring program, relation and self-quality improvement.
JFLS tutoring program focuses on discussing entrepreneurship, such as how to start a business, find for market target, set businessman’s form of thinking and many more. For Valda, this program provides lots of valuable benefits.
“Because my field of study is Law, I can gain new insights about entrepreneurship. The tutoring program is also in the form of online training which can be accessed at any time,” she said, on Saturday, 1 October 2022.
During her time as a JFLS recipient, Valda actively shared tips on applying for JFLS on her social media. She also had the opportunity to fill various activities, both as a speaker and MC.
“It is a matter of pride because not everyone gets the same opportunity. I can also prove my achievements to my parents,” she said.
