BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Sampurasun (lit. meaning greeting in Sundanese), Unpas prospective new students. The transition from school to college is often confusing since there are many technical terms which are hard to understand.
At the college, there are no more report cards and full-day school. Courses each semester is always different, and so are tuition fees payment and scoring system which are converted to be Grade-Point Average (GPA) and so on.
Regarding the tuition fees component, each university has its own policy and term. At unpas, fees that need to be paid by students include Education Development Fund (Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan, DPP), Development Fund (Dana Pembangunan, DP), laboratory fees for certain study programs and others. Then what is difference between them and how is the payment system? Check out the description below.
- Education Development Fund (Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan, DPP)
Education Development Fund (Dana Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan, DPP) is a fund allocated for training, development and improvement of education quality. The fund must be paid by student every semester.
The payment can be done every year or every semester. If it is paid per semester, the amount of fund should be paid in half of the total of DPP of each study program. The payment can also be paid in installments based on the scheme offered.
- Development Fund (Dana Pembangunan, DP)
Development Fund is only paid once during the study. Basically DP is paid full during re-registration process.
- Laboratory Fund
Laboratory Fund apply to certain study programs that have practical activities. The amount of laboratory funds in each study program varies. Like a Development Fund, laboratory funds are only paid once during re-registration process.
- Introductory to Campus Fund (Dana Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru, PKKMB)
Introductory to Campus Fund (Dana Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru, PKKMB) or commonly called OSPEK is also paid fully during re-registration process. The total amount paid includes PKKMB at the university, faculty, and study program levels.
Those four components of fees mentioned above are only paid to the bank’s account number appointed by Unpas. New students are not allowed to pay outside the specified registration procedure. (Reta)*
