Department of Social Welfare UNPAS started the student exchange program with UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, as the realization of MoU signed by both deans of the faculty some time ago at Faculty of Social and Political Science UNPAS, Bandung.
Eight students from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who joined the program were officially welcomed in Tuesday, January 28th, 2020, by Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Science UNPAS, Dr. M. Budiana, M.Si, along with 6 students from Department of Social Welfare, Faculty of Social and Political Science UNPAS. The Dean himself was accompanied by Dr. Yuyun Yuningsih, M.Si, Head of Department of Social Welfare. The event was held in the Faculty’s meeting room, Jl. Lengkong Besar 68 Bandung. It was entitled “Penerimaan Mahasiswa Transfer Kredit Akademik Program Studi Ilmu Kesejahteraan Sosial Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi UIN Sunan KaDiana dan Pelepasan Mahasiswa Transfer Kredit Akademik Prodi Kesejahteraan Sosial FISIP Universitas Pasundan Bandung”.
The event was also attended by Vice Deans of the Faculty, Head and Secretary of Department of Social Welfare UNPAS, along with Head and Secretary of other departments in the Faculty. Eight students from UIN Sunan Kalijaga were accompanied by Dra. Siti Solehah, M.Si, Secretary of Department of Social Welfare.
The Dean himself considered that this program was extraordinary and the first to be implemented. Other than receiving credit transfers, students could also learn and understand Mataram and Sundanese Culture through the exchange program. He also advised that the department could keep and maintain the good nama of the almamater.
The program lasts for 1 semester.
