BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Rector of Universitas Pasundan Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU officially opens the 30th Recruitment of New Member (Pelantikan Anggota Baru, PAB), Students’ Sports Association (Koordinator Olahraga Mahasiswa, KOM) which will carry out the basic training in Ciwidey, Bandung Regency.
The sending-off was held at Unpas Campus II Plaza, Jalan Tamansari No. 6-8, Bandung. Rector himself, accompanied by his Vice Rector III for Student Affairs Dr. H. Dededn Ramdan, M.Si, sent off 34 new members candidate of Unpas KOM to attend the sports training for two days, 5-6 March 2022.
The theme raised in the 30th PAB is ‘Optimalisasi Kader yang Aktif dalam Organisasi, Solid dalam Kekeluargaan, and Unggul dalam Berprestasi (OPSI)’.
In front of the committees and new members’ candidates, Rector gave advices to keep the good name of Unpas. They are also suggested to think positive to actualize the coordination between members.
“According to the spirit of sport, I wish this training could build the sportsmanship. Sports are not only maintaining body health, but also creating positive thought and coordination of new members’ candidates,” he continued.
Rector also reminds the committees to keep both eyes to participants’ physical endurance and apply strict health protocol even though it will be held outdoor.
“I urge every member of alumni council and seniors to guide their junior kindly. For participants, take care of yourselves and be the member who is able to create new achievement. Unpas will appreciate each achievement,” he confirmed.
Meanwhile, Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si said the new member candidate should be able to trigger the spirit of Unpas KOM to prove its existence in sports field.
“I am very proud of you. I appreciate for what you did, because in the current situation, Unpas KOM is still trying to perform various things related the vision and devoting itself to uphold loyalty to the institution,” he said.
He hopes that this series of activities at the official recruitment could be realized and bring about great regeneration.
“Hone all your potential, keep believing, even with your limitation, that you can always show the best performance. Many alumni of Unpas KOM have successfully become national athletes, you can also become ones,” he hoped.
Chairperson of Unpas KOM for the period of 2021-2022, Rafi Nurul Faturohman ensured that the 30th PAB participants and its committees were in a fit condition because they had previously carried out a medical test at the Unpas clinic.
Later, the participants will be trained and prepared with three basic pillars of KOM, including organization, sportsmanship and familyhood. Besides physical activities, they will also be given subjects about history of KOM and ideological mental from the alumni.
“We hope participants who have just been recruited and inaugurated could contribute more achievements for KOM and become active and excellent individuals,” he concluded. (Reta)*
