
BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – After 2,5 years being vacuum, Student’s Executive Board (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa, BEM) Universitas Pasundan finally makes a new breakthrough. Next October, Unpas BEM will offer musical event as well as promotion and collaboration event.
Pasundan Rise Festival is predicted to be a grand event before the end of 2021-2022 Unpas BEM Kabinet Bersatu. The plan is that Pasundan Rise Festival will be divided into three series of events.
Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) BEM Unpas Rendy Asharila Munajat said, as a pre-event series, BEM Unpas initiated the declaration of the Unpas Student Council Press Forum (Forum Pers Lembaga Kemahasiswaan Unpas).
This forum seeks to unite all fields, divisions, departments, ministries, communities, to Student’s Units engaged in the distribution of information.
“It it has entirely been gathered, Unpas BEM will hold a seminar, declaration and various trainings, such as copy writing, digital content and others, which are useful to improve forum members’ soft skill,” he said on Tuesday, 12 July 2022.
Other than declaring the press forum, Unpas BEM also plans to hold a national short movie competition about creative economy and Sundanese culture.
“Our second plan is, we will make a showcase to show the talent of our friends in other faculties and departments. We take them out to send them into the talent delegation, then put them in pra-event session,” Rendy continued.
Event for Rising and Doing Promotion
Rendy also mentioned that the main event of Pasundan Rise Festival will be scheduled on the third week of October. Although it is only debut event, Pasundan Rise Festival is ready to present attractive line-up of well-known musicians.
Unpas BEM also collaborates with Ministry of Creative Economy, while Unpas PT HIPMI provide bazaar booth for MSMEs and for department to display their product and innovation they own and have created.
“We invite musicians who are able to support the branding, because our main target is promoting the university through the event,” he explained.
Not only musical festival, Pasundan Rise Festival becomes the event for students of all departments to show their performance, as well as select new students to be interested in joining student institution.
Meanwhile, Head of Committee of Pasundan Rise Festivel, Nanda Rizqi stated that this event is expected to increase students’ spirit and confidence in initiating huge event after Covid-19 pandemic.
“Furthermore, through this event, I want Unpas to be more well-known publicly,” he concluded. (Reta)**
