BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – On the commemoration of 2021 International Anti-Drugs Day (lit. Hari Anti Narkotika Intenasional, HANI), West Java National Narcotics Agency (lit. Badan Narkotika Nasional, BNN), West Java Alliance of Anti-Drugs Abuse (lit. Aliansi Relawan Perguruan Tinggi Anti Penyalahgunaan Narkoba, Artipena) and BNN in all districts/cities in West Java collaborated to hold an online declaration “War on Drugs” on Saturday (June 26th, 2021).
A total of 13,045 students gathered from 165 universities in West Java broke the Indonesian Original Record (ORI) record as the largest anti-drug volunteer in Indonesia. This number exceeded the original target of only 10,000 students.
The event was also appreciated and attended by Head of Indonesian BNN Dr. Petrus Reinhard Golose, M.M., Governor of West Java Dr. H. M. Ridwan Kamil, Regent of Karawang dr. Hj. Cellica Nurrachadiana, Heads of West Java BNNK and university staff leaders, members of West Java Artipena.
On his speech, Head of Indonesian BNN stated that controlling narcotics problems must be carried out in a structured, systematic and massive manner by involving all components of society through legal, health, social and educational approaches.
“Controlling narcotics problems need a balanced approach, to make it run smoothly. It also needs commitment and strong determination in fighting against narcotics. Therefore, I appreciate this collaboration in breaking ORI record. I hope it would give positive and significant impact to all community,” he explained.
Furthermore, the Governor of West Java also emphasized to all elements to continue to inflame the spirit of getting rid of narcotics to create Jabar Juara Lahir Batin.
“I urge to the Pentahelix elements to keep West Java clean of narcotics. Let us start with ourselves, family, environment, and society. Congratulations on commemorating 2021 HANI. We are instigating War on Drugs to show and bring Jabar Juara Lahir Batin,” he explained.
Head of West Java Artipena as well as Rector of Universitas Pasundan Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU also gave the orientation of Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics (Pencegahan, Pemberantasan, Penyalahgunaan, dan Peredaran Gelap Narkotika, P4GN) to students as declaration participants.
He also stated that in dealing with multi-dimensional threat and national issues, it should be actualized through collaboration movement, to create silih asah, silih asih and silih asuh. One of its ways is through synergy to become volunteer of West Java Artipena.
“For students, be the important part of nation’s problems solution, because we cannot be eco-centric. We show them our proactive and collaborative attitude, as well work together to create a clean drugs-free campus,” he said.
Head of West Java BNNP Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Benny Gunawan, SH., MH., sent his joyfulness and gratitude. Because of this collaboration and idea of breaking the record initiated by Head of West Java Artipena, it strengthens P4GN.
At the end of the event, West Java Artipena Secretary General Dr. Eki Baihaki, M.Si, published a book entitled ‘Gotong Royong Mewujudkan Kampus Bersinar’. This 123-page-thick book contains a writing collection about P4GN efforts to get rid of narcotics.
“This book becomes record of commitment, concept, strategy and act of collaboration between West Java Artipena, West Java BNNP and BNNK all around West Java. It contains the writings from Head of West Java Artipena Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU., West Java Secretary General Dr. Eki Baihaki, M.Si., STHB Professor Prof. Dr. H. Dwidja Priyatno, S.H., M.H., Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si., Secretary of West Java ICMI Dr. Ujang Saefullah, M.Si., Teacher from UIN SGD Bandung Dr. Riva Rahayu, M.Ud., and Vice Director III of Poltekesos Dr. Epi Supiadi, M.Si.,” he ended (Reta)*
