BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan is currently doing campus digitalization acceleration; one of which is by improving its 2.0 Integrated Information System (Sistem Informasi Terintegrasi, SITU) which cover both academic and non-academic activities.
Unpas Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. H. Jaja Suteja, S.E., M.Si said that right now, the entire aspects of life cannot be separated from Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), including in the sector of education.
“People can do multiple things at once in various situations, so all information should be real-time. Therefore, we attempt to develop more on campus digitalization to be coming true soon,” he said, on Monday, 1 August 2022.
He also added that Unpas has taken collaboration with IT company to help develop the 2.0 SITU. The collaboration is expected to facilitate staff leaders in making the right policies.
“SITU 2.0 is the system we built. At first it was only internal support, but now there are partners,” he continued.
According to him, the basis of university competition has now shifted from what was previously seen from the magnificent buildings to the digital development of campuses.
“In the future, campus digital is the key to competition in the sector of education. The basis of the competition is no longer magnificent buildings and luxurious teacher halls, but how to build a campus into a digital campus or cyber campus,” he explained.
Unpas has A-ranked accreditation for its 7 faculties and institutions. Meanwhile, the number of active students reaches 22 thousand.
He considered that the number of students and the academic reputation that Unpas had built needed to be accompanied by accelerated digitization to facilitate activities and improve the performance of the academic community.
“Its purpose is to make staff leader, as decision maker, be able to take on decision quicker through the current information; therefore, its decision will be more contextual,” he added.
Since it has just shifted from the previous one, the socialization and workshop of the 2.0 SITU usage is still being carried out, at the level of institution and faculty.
Through 2.0 SITU, the entire needs of academic stuffs, New Student Admission (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru, PMB), data report, CBT test, as well as employee data are integrated in one system. (Reta)**
