BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – A talent-and-interest unit of Faculty of Law Universitas Pasundan, Anggrahana Pasundan Moot Court (APMC) holds a law education program in SMAN 1 Dayeuhkolot, Bandung District, in 9-10 August 2022.
Through ‘Belajar Hukum Acara Bareng Masyarakat (BERANGKAT) program, Unpas APMC FH wants to develop law awareness since early stage to avoid and prevent students from being violated in law.
General Chairman of APMC FH Unpas Tiara Khoerun Nisa stated that this program is intended to introduce the law to make student understand the settlement of cases, especially criminal acts.
“Other than that, it is also to raise student’s interest in the discipline of law, as well as a promotion event for FH Unpas,” she said on Wednesday, 31 August 2022.
According to her, legal education is important as a means of learning for the community, especially students, regarding to the process of resolving criminal cases and the main tasks of law enforcement.
“This is also a real form of student service to the community. Alhamdulillah, our steps are fully supported by the leadership of FH Unpas and the academic community of SMAN 1 Dayeuhkolot,” he said.
In addition to going directly to the community, APMC FH Unpas actively distributes educational content and holds sharing sessions on social media.
Publishing Law-related Magazine
Last week, APMC FH Unpas also published volume 3 of AFOKUM (Angrahatana Legal Information) magazine which discusses restorative justice.
“Restorative justice generally applies to juvenile justice. But it turns out that restorative justice can also be applied to other criminal acts,” she added.
Tiara hopes that BERANGKAT program could be carried out every year, so that the positive impact felt by the community will be wider.
“We will continue to give our best to develop and increase our capacity, and bring the good name of FH Unpas through the BERANGKAT program,” he said. (Reta)**
