BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – The melodious strains of Shoutul Haq’s nasheed closed the peak of the 44th anniversary of Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP) Universitas Pasundan which was held online and offline at the Hall of Mandala Saba Dr. Djoenjoenan, Unpas Campus V, Jalan Sumatera no. 41, on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.
The peak of this anniversary is also a moment of complete silaturahmi which has built and raised the name of Unpas FKIP. The 4th-7th Dean of Unpas FKIP were also present to celebrate FKIP’s anniversary which was getting more mature.
Series of celebration was also filled with awards for teachers who have served more than 30 years, the most citations and publication awards and for outstanding students.
Unpas FKIP keeps doing repair of quality and sustainable development to actualize current educational system. Unpas FKIP’s existence which has been more than 4 decades, is internalized on the theme ’44 Taun FKIP Unpas Panceg Dina Ajen Visi Paguyuban Pasundan’.
Dean of Unpas FKIP Dr. H. Uus Toharudin, M.Pd send his grateful for the achievements obtained as the results for hard work from academic civitas within Unpas FKIP.
“We hope Unpas FKIP could integrate good things obtained from every period of leadership. I am sure, various achievements are blessings from the Creator, a proof that we actually can implement Unpas FKIP’s vision according to the religion’s guidance,” he said.
In the future, Unpas FKIP wants to improve implementation planning and curriculum development. The faculty seeks to improve the performance of human resources, especially from a managerial perspective so that they can actualize themselves as individuals who works optimally at work.
In the near future, FKIP Unpas also plans to open a Master Program for Elementary School Teacher Education and propose Biology Education Department for international accreditation.
“We hope that from a technological, managerial and process perspective, Unpas FKIP could continue to improve. Likewise, the wider community, do not hesitate to move and take collaboration with Unpas FKIP in developing their competencies as our students,” he said.
Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Sc., M.Kom., IPU appreciated the theme brought at this 44th Anniversary of Unpas FKIP. According to him, the theme is very relevant to the current situation, where ignorance and poverty are still crucial issues that must be fought for.
“Panceg, in Unpas FKIP’s vision, means istiqomah (straightforward) in fighting ignorance and poverty as the goal of Paguyuban Pasundan. Congratulations, Unpas FKIP has gone through difficulties as well as ups and downs for 44 years. Now, let us return to the vision to form understanding and an agile mindset,” he explained.
General Chairman of the Paguyuban Pasundan Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Sc. said that Unpas FKIP is one of the strategic institutions to prepare educators who are equipped with entrepreneurial character and noble character.
He emphasized that entrepreneurship must be a priority in curriculum development at FKIP Unpas because the competition in the future is certainly very tight.
“Prepare the students with courageous, unyielding characters, and strong knowledge so that later they can win the competition and be optimal in contributing to this nation,” he concluded. (Reta)*
