BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – It is been almost two years that Covid-19 pandemic has hit the global world and disturbed various sectors of life. However, for young people who like to face challenge, pandemic is not an obstacle to remain productive and produce works.
Alumnus of Faculty of Law Universitas Pasundan, Yudistya Putra Denis is encouraged to be adaptive and challenged to be more innovative in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, supported by recent and current technology.
“Covid-19 pandemic at least give positive impact. By various limitation, people are required to hone their creativity and be mastered in improving their existing potential,” he said, on Friday, 15 October 2021.
Although he has already graduated from Universitas Pasundan, Yudis is still actively doing research about corporation and corruption along with his teachers in Unpas Faculty of Law. Apart from implementing what he has obtained in college, he wished that his research could give a lot of benefits for the society.
During college, Yudis was recorded as an outstanding student. He was the awardee of the 2019 Kemenristekdikti Academic Achievement Scholarship (Beasiswa Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik, BPPA) and the 2021 Unpas Faculty of Law Academic Achievement Scholarship. In addition, he has also been involved in several international events.
“I have attended the 2018 Regional Clinical Legal Education Mock Trial in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Lead Speaker in the 2019 Global Alliance Justice for Education (GAJE) and speaker in Internation Student Conference ‘Gender-based Violence’ by Nelson Mandela University,” he said.
His activities that he is currently working on are nothing but an effort to actualize his goals as a judge. While waiting for this achievement, Yudis also attended the 2021 Advocate Professional Special Education (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat, PKPA) and started a business.
Taking Advantage of Opportunities, Exploring Food and Beverages Business
Not only working on the research, Yudis is currently starting his business in food and beverages sector, supplying raw materials for restaurants, hotels and café. He recognizes that supplier business is quite promising if he works on it seriously.
“Although it has still been running on one month, I wish the business would become another job opportunity for the society. Establishing a business is not only about gaining profits, but more than that, it is about creating job opportunity and helping people’s economic condition,” he continued.
He thought that getting inspiration could be everywhere. All depend on each other’s willing and intention, as well as skills on taking advantage on the opportunity.
“We are now living in a digital era, people can find for information and inspiration from various platform. Take advantage of videos from YouTube, television or attractive contents in TikTok,” he explained.
Covid-19 Pandemic Becoming Self-actualization Time
Today, to earn much money, a person does not really need to leave their home, since social media offers huge opportunity for those creative individuals.
“There are a lot of useful activities which we can explore, for example doing sport practice, writing national journal to gain more reference on writing, or joining/attending webinar. The point is, to make as many positive activities as possible during pandemic,” Yudis explained.
Almost all aspects of life can be taken advantage by using online media without having to leave the house. On one side, pandemic limits people’s moving space; but on the other side, pandemic also ‘forces’ them to be more creative and innovative.
“Keep moving on and fighting to reach the goal. Make this pandemic time for doing self-actualization. Reaching the dream is not enough by only having strong will, but also intention without having to worry about getting tired,” he concluded. (Reta)*
