BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – During Covid-19 pandemic, a program of Campus Introduction (lit. Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP)) for students of Faculty of Teaching and Education is still carried out. The program itself, which was usually held at school, has been replaced by taking benefits of Information and Communication Technology.
Dean of Faculty of Teaching and Education, Dr. H. Uus Toharudin, M.Pd., stated the program is carried out directly by observing school activities published on the school website or page.
“The program is now our concern and focus, especially during pandemic. The faculty, along with Technical Implementation Unit of the program decided that the Stage-1 of the program was carried out by observing learning practices at school whose websites are active,” he said at UNPAS Campus II, Jalan Tamansari, Bandung, on Friday (March 19th, 2021).
The students are allowed to carry the Stage-1 program in their hometown. It requires a B-accredited as a school target and it is only allowed to be observed by eight students at maximum. Apart from that, the school should be active uploading and updating information, such as profiles and school activities on the websites or other platforms which can be accounted for legally and academically.
“School information which is allowed to be compiled and filed to observe by the students is those which is updated in 2019,” he added.
Although the program has been carried out online, the students still needed to submit their soft-file-formed observation letter to the targeted school. They also required to fill the activity form at the book of Stage-1 School Introduction.
“On that book, students should write down the observation result, analysis and activity description to be reported to their supervisory teacher. The supervision was carried out through Learning Management System (LMS) owned by Faculty of Teaching and Education. After that, the teacher will take a look on it; if the website being observed by the students exists or not,” he explained.
According to the Table of Implementation Plan of Stage-1 Campus Introduction during Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020/2021, the series of the program have been running since last February, starting from Campus Introduction course for the teacher appointed by the department.
The Dean also said that the Unite will do the briefing, training and parting of the Stage-1 program students in the next March 29 – 31th, 2021.
“Targeted School observation by students is planned to hold in April 1-8, 2021, under teacher’s supervision,” he informed.
After doing observation, the students are required to compile and submit a Stage-1 report to the supervisor. Furthermore, the supervisor will carry out an assessment report, an oral exam, and recapitulate the score.
“After being recapitulated, the score and report need to be submitted to the Center Unit, for it to be publish and issue the Stage-1 Program Certificate,” he ended (Reta Amaliyah S)*
