BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Kart Team HMM Unpas (KTHU) again achieved title of general champion at the event of the 2022 Eshark Rok Cup Indonesia.
In the National Shifter 150, KTHU’s senior racer Imam M. Shayid Sis occupied the 2nd podium and the junior racer who just debuted a few months ago, M. Rifqy Enha Rukayat had to settle for 5th position.
While in the National Shifter University class, Rifqy was in 3rd position and another KTHU junior racer, Wildan Syahrudin was in 5th position.
This achievement led KTHU as the best team in the 2022 Eshark Rok Cup Indonesia event, followed by UPI Competitive Karting and Red Container Karting Team HMM ITB.
General Manager of KTHU Lukman Sholehudin sait that the competition held by PT EShark is the highest-class event of go-cart race in Indonesia.
At previous season, KTHU won three titles. This year, KTHU successfully reaches its target to obtain general champion.
“Alhamdulillah, KTHU can show its best performance at the event of the 2022 Eshark Rok Cup Indonesia and defend its position as general champion,” he said, on Saturday, 10 September 2022.
Giving Birth to New Racers
KTHU’s junior racer, M. Rifqy Enha Rukayat said that he himself had quite rapid improvement for the past season. Even more, Rifqy has never joined any competition at all.
As a racer, Rifqy felt very challenged emotionally and physically. The reason is that he had to repeatedly go in and out of the track in different sessions and number of laps.
“In the previous season, I was still a mechanic and just started racing this season. On the track, the racer has to restrain his emotions and physical strength. Sometimes I feel angrily emotional to other racers, but we need to focus; because to pass one lap, it takes fast, approximately 53 seconds,” he said.
After experiencing the bitter-sweetness of the track for almost a year, Rifqy realized how difficult it was to be a racer, especially when holding g-force or acceleration units that force the neck to work extra hard.
Rifqy also had a crash (collision) while competing with other racers. But this experience will make him a great racer later.
Another KTHU racer, Wildan Syahrudin who placed 5th in the National Shifter University class, said he was satisfied with the final result of the Eshark Rok Cup Indonesia 2022. Just like Rifqy, this is also Wildan’s first year participating in the race.
