BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Pasundan keeps strengthening the institution through several programs which are entirely directed to maintain the quality of education.
Several programs set for 2022 in the order of University Tri Dharma and implementation of MBKM curriculum will be strengthened by the departments in Unpas FEB as the academic administrator staffs, which include Department of Management, Economic Development and Accounting.
Head of Department of Management Dr. H. Heru Setiawan, SE., MM stated that implementation of University Tri Dharma in the teaching field is started from updating the curriculum which currently have adopted MBKM program.
“Department of Management always encourages and facilitates students to be able to join Kampus Merdeka program, such as internship, independent study and social charity,” he said, on Monday, 21 March 2022, quoted from Unpas Official YouTube channel.
Besides, teachers are also required to update and revise the semester learning process’ plan (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester, RPS) to be taken as evaluation and monitor.
“Each year, teachers in the department are required to deepen their own discipline-mastered concept by doing research which must be applied on the community service program,” he said.
In the Department of Economic Development, several programs related to University Tri Dharma and MBKM program will also be improved. One of which is by preparing and implementing the program of Limited Face-to-Face Learning Process Program (Program Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas, PPTMT).
“While preparing, we also plan to actualize the theme of research and PKM in Economic Studies,” explained Head of Department of Economic Development Unpas, Prof. Dr. H. Horas Djulius, SE.
Regarding MBKM, the department itself attempts to improve both outbound (outside the department and campus) and inbound (course classes attended by other department’s students) programs.
“The next program is to hold a preparation for accreditation of Journal of Economic Studies Research (Jurnal Riset Ilmu Ekonomi, JRIE) and event synchronization with the Student Community of Economic and Development Studies (Himaspa) FEB Unpas,” he explained.
Department of Accounting led by Isye Siti Aisyah, SE., M.Si., Ak also prepares its accreditation through the Conversion Supplementary Instrument (Instrumen Suplemen Konversi, ISK) and international accreditation.
“Because the chance for students to take participation in MBKM program is now getting wider, the department’s curriculum will also be adjusted to make it able to accommodate the program. Not only students, teachers also must strengthen and deepen their competence by joining professional certification as well,” she said.
Mentioned about technological development, Department of Accounting actively takes benefits on social media channel as learning process media. Recently, the department also makes a computerized technology-based accounting laboratory to simplify the process of business simulation.
Students can use the consumption application in order to make it easier to adapt to technology used in a company.
“We also have Fast Track program to facilitate students who want to continue their Master study in various programs. These are our [Department of Accounting and Unpas FEB] commitment to build innovations, especially to actualize the University Tri Dharma and succeed MBKM program,” she concluded. (Reta)*
