
BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Administrator of Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua attends the Grand Final of Unpas Pasanggiri Duta Kampus (Batch 4) at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Campus II, Jl. Tamansari No. 6-8, Bandung, on Saturday, 23 July 2022.
The presence of Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua strengthens the atmosphere of diversity, bhinneka, and plurality. Moreover, the Grand Final of 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Campus Unpas raised a theme that is closely related to culture, namely “Implementasi Aksarakarsa dalam Pesona Cipta Nusantara”.
Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua is the youngest branch because it has just been inaugurated in November 2020. The inauguration of the management was carried out online by the General Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan, Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si.
At the end of May 2022, Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua also held a post-Idul Fitri gathering to the Central Office of Paguyuban Pasundan, Jl. Sumatera No. 41, Bandung.
Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua is not only an association of Sundanese people in Papua. More than that, it has a mission to strengthen brotherhood and unity.
In their visit, Head of PW Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua, Entis Sutisna conveyed various programs which has been carried out in Papua, especially in Jayapura.
Until now, Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua has already had more than 5000 members of Sundanese people in Papua and six branches at the level of district/city, namely both in the City and District of Jayapura, Keerom District, Pegunungan Bintang, Nabire and Sarmi.
“In Papua, West Java people is getting more harmonious and friendly. This is proof that Paguyuban Pasundan can bring new atmosphere in Papua and unite West Java people,” he said.
Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua is expected to be the connector of West Java Provincial Government in creating and maintaining the harmony with people in Papua.
“West Java as partner of Papua is proven to be able to bring ‘intimacy’ and familyhood; one of which is through the moment of the Papua National Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Nasional, PON),” said Entis.
At PON Papua, Paguyuban Pasundan participated in enlivening the revelry through art performances and opening stalls that served a variety of crafts, culinary, fashion, and coffee. (Reta)**
