BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Centre of Business Innovation and Incubator (Pusat Inovasi dan Inkubator Bisnis) Universitas Pasundan introduced its superior product at the Tenant Featured Product Expo, at Lapangan Pemerintahan Provinsi Bangka Belitung, on Saturday, 18 December 2021.
The event which took two days from 18-20 December was held in order to commemorate the 2021 National Social Solidarity Day (Hari Kesetiakawanan Sosial Nasional, HKSN). Unpas PIIB was one of the representatives of 25 University Incubators which took participation in that event.
Unpas PIIB presented its superior product along with its owner, Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) or partner tenant from Karawang District. KPM is a Program of Social Entrepreneurship (Program Kewirausahaan Sosial, ProKus) of Ministry of Social Affairs which has already undergone the incubation process.
Head of Unpas PIIB, Ir. Farid Rizayana, MT., stated that at the expo, KPM presented 2 two superior innovation products which has been improved by Unpas PIIB team.
“There are two superior products we present and describe, namely Vertical Sealer and Freeze Gel,” he explained, on Tuesday, 4 January 2022.
Then, what are exactly the products? The first one, Vertical Sealer is a tool for making a seal on a package plastic which will be contained with liquids, such as cooking oil, canned fruit and others. The second one is Freeze Gel, a material for cooling the product so it does not rot easily and extends its life.
Unpas PIIB along with ProKus Team of Karawang District are currently developing the website and application jagawarung.id, a website for helping tenant’s business and partners in marketing the product.
“Jagawarung.id has few features to make the product marketing easier, such as packaging machine provision, product presentation and food packaging tutorials, machine tool design and partner product promotion,” he added.
He also hoped that this idea initiated by Unpas PIIB Team and ProKus could be able to provide benefits, as well as become a sustainable program.
“We hope ProKus would become a sustainable program and provide us benefits, especially in improving income generating, in order not to only depend on government assistance,” he said.
In addition, Unpas PIIB Secretary, Dr. Dindin Abdurohim Brata Sonjaya, M.Si revealed that he and his team have already received 450 registrants of tenant candidates.
“The enthusiasm is quite better [from the registrants]. There are already 450 registrants, from students who have had their own business within Universitas Pasundan,” he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Dindin also stated that the admission of tenant candidate will be still carried out and curated to be submitted to the next steps; pre-incubation, synergized and collaborated with both internal and external programs.
“We also take advantages of opportunities, especially ones which come from Kemendikbudristek such as entrepreneurship development, local product improvement and product development from campus intellectual business. It certainly involves a lot parties, both teachers and students within Unpas,” he said.
He also hoped that after participating in this expo, Unpas PIIB could be able to collaborate and synergize more between other University’s incubators.
“We invite other incubators from other universities to be able to collaborate along and synergize, especially in the process of tenant incubation, as well as take advantage of the website jagawarung.id which has gained a great welcome,” he concluded. (Rico)*
