BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Coinciding the 61st Anniversary, Universitas Pasundan holds a Senate Open Session Phase I Graduation Ceremony 2021/2022 online and offline, on Saturday, 13 November 2021.
For the first time, Unpas hold the procession at the Hall of Mandala Saba R. Otto Iskandar Dinata, Campus IV, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 193, Bandung, while the previous 2 phases of graduation ceremony were held at Hotel Arya Duta.
On this phase’s ceremony, Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU inaugurates 674 graduates consisting of 58 graduates from Faculty of Law, 173 from Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), 30 from Faculty of Engineering, 91 from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 213 from Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP), 25 from Faculty of Arts and Literature (FISS), 61 from Master Program and 23 from Doctoral Program.
In his speech, the Rector said that the graduation ceremony was held at campus as an attempt and effort to face new normal era, considering the fact that it is still in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic.
All committees, graduate representatives, and senate members presenting on site have also tested for rapid antigen test and confirmed negative for Covid-19.
“This ceremony at the Hall of Mandala Saba Otto Iskandar Dinata has recorded new history in adjusting pandemic situation. We send our highest appreciation for the spirit of each graduates attending the ceremony today,” he explained.
The Rector also gave his advice to the graduates to honour the name of alma mater, as well as take their best contribution for the sake of the nation and country.
“Graduation is not a completion of a task, but it is a beginning of journey in improving the self to a better qualified individual. Alumnus of Unpas is a generation who are competitive, creative, adaptive and able to be a problem-solver for the society,” he wished.
The ceremony was also attended in an online room by Plt. Head of LLDIKTI Redion IV West Java-Banten Ir. Dharnita Chandra, M.Si. He emphasized the graduated to keep improving their quality and implement their skill they have obtained during the study.
“We are in the middle of industrial revolution, where the switch of technology to automation-computerization is getting more massive. Therefore, prepare yourself to the highest to make Unpas proud, both nationally and internationally,” he said.
Head of Pasundan Foundation of Higher Education, Dr. H. Makbul Mansyur, M.Si also congratulated the graduates who have successfully finished their study in Unpas. He hoped the knowledge they have obtained would be useful for the society.
“I give you 5 important advises; graduates should be able to work innovatively, be a tough and unyielding successor, a pioneer of reformation and change in society, maintain the dignity of the alma mater and alumni solidarity, and never forget history,” he confirmed.
Last, Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan, Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si who also inaugurated all graduates gave his advises that Unpas is a unity which become responsibility of all elements inside to make Unpas greater wherever they are.
“Unpas getting greater is not only because its institution, but also because its alma mater’s participation. Keep Unpas in your heart, actualize the common goals to bring goodness and benefits for all,” he concluded. (Reta)*
