BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – The series of 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Kampus Universitas Pasundan is officially opened. Representatives of participants from 7 faculties attended the first selection at the Hall of Mandala Saba Otto Iskandar Dinata, Campus IV, Jalan Setiabudhi No. 193, Bandung, on Saturday, 16 July 2022.
Among 73 participants, there are approximately 56 participants who attend the event. Participants who are absent are announced to fail the selection and are not allowed to take to the next phase.
On its first selection, participants will take written test and interview with Ikatan Istri Keluarga Unpas (IIKU) as the party responsible for Pasanggiri Duta Kampus. Participants also receive the materials about Unpas, Sundanese insight, grooming and branding class, and public speaking.
In her speech, head of IIKU Dr. Hj. Dewi Indriani Jusuf, MM appreciated this event of 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Kampus Unpas, after being postponed for two years.
Through the theme “Implementasi Aksarakarsa dalam Pesona Cipta Nusantara”, the fourth-generation of Pasanggiri Duta Kampus is expected to create individuals who have cultural spirit and master technology.
“There are different euphoric feelings, since it is the first Pasanggiri Duta Kampus held after the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope it would produce new faces who are able to be the communicator and motivator for other colleague students,” she said.
She also emphasized that Duta Kampus should be able to master technology, understand each other and perfect the identity of Unpas, namely pengkuh agamana, luhung elmuna and jembar budayana (religious, educated, cultured).
Place for Building the Character
Pasanggiri Duta Kampus Unpas is an attempt of building students’ character, which intellectually, is able to compete and open a place for improving their competency.
Duta Kampus Unpas plays a role of Unpas’ students’ representation and brand ambassador of Unpas programs.
“Whoever got elected should be able to represent Unpas; so, it not only about a good-looking face, but also a ‘face’ who knows campus’ problems, conditions and details properly,” said the Rector.
This is line with what Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. h. Deden Ramdan, M.Si stated that Duta Kampus is responsible for playing a role model, creating positive image and integrating campus’ vision and mission.
“Duta Kampus is our starting point who not only has their own good-looking face, but more than that, they should be internalize the value of nyanri, nyunda, nyakola within their identity,” he confirmed.
Participants who passed the first selection will continued to take the next selection on Monday, 17 July 2022. Two days before Grand Final, participants will also have a Campus Tour program. (Reta)**
