BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Along with Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU), Universitas Pasundan signs the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Collaboration Agreement (Perjanjian Kerja Sama, PKS) at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Unpas Campus II, Jalan Tamansari No. 6-8, Bandung, on Wednesday, 7 September 2022.
The draft of MoU and PKS was signed by Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU and Rector of UISU Dr. H. Yanhar Jamaludin, M.AP.
The event was also attended by Unpas Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. H. Jaja Suteja, S.E., M.Si, Unpas Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Yudi Garnida, MS., and Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si.
The collaboration carried out covers up the implementation of University Tri Dharma and Program of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) in strengthening the institution.
Rector said that the collaboration includes sectors of education, community service, training, quality assurance development and research, as well as eight points of MBKM implementation.
“There are eight points in MBKM program we hope to obtain, including research, entrepreneurship, thematic village, field practice, student exchange, independent project study, humanity project, as well as learning assistance at education unit,” he said.
Rector said that the era of disruption nowadays is the time when collaboration becomes the important thing to do to support university/higher education to be able to take collaboration in all aspects of life.
The meeting between UISU also becomes the moment of sharing information about strengthening work units and divisions, including Internal Surveillance Unit (Satuan Penjamin Internal, SPI), Internal Quality Assurance Unit (Satuan Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI), institutional governance and collaboration between institution in the university.
“As educational institution especially in LLDIKTI Region IV, we have obligation to maintain universities to grow and move forward together; not only in West Java-Banten, but also throughout Indonesia, including UISU, on this occasion,” he continued.
Large-group Visit
On this occasion, Unpas received a large-group visit from UISU. There are at least 16 representatives from rector’s office, dean’s office, as well as work units, as stated by Dr. H. Yanhar Jamaluddin, M.AP.
In his speech, he said that the collaboration built with Unpas was carried out in strengthening partnership to actualize the qualified education, research, and community service.
In line with Prof. Eddy, Rector of UISU mentioned that in improving qualified institution, there needs to be a collaboration with various institutions.
“Our visit, on this occasion, is to strengthen the silaturahmi and collaboration with Unpas, as well as improving our institutional performance,” he said.

The event was also attended by Head of Department of Management Dr. Supriadi, SE., MM., M.Si., Head of Department of Magister Management Dr. Supar Wasesa, SE., MM., Quality Task Force/Control (Gugus Kendali Mutu, GKM) of Department of Management of Faculty of Economics Dr. Dra. Hj. Nilawati, MM., GKM of Department of Entrepreneurship Zenny Riana, SE., MM., GKM of Department of Economic Development H. Edi Sofian, SE., M.Si., Head of Student’s Unit of Faculty of Ecnomics M. Tahir, SE., MM., as well as GKM of Department of Accounting Lusi Elviani, SE., M.Si.
Visit and Comparative Study
The collaboration was carried out by Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Pasundan with Faculty of Economics (FE) UISU and the signing was also carried out by Dean of FEB Dr. Atang Hermawan, SE., M.S.I.E., Ak. Along with Dean of FE UISU Dr. Hj. Safrida, SE., M.Si.
Meanwhile, FE UISU also had opportunity to carry out the visit, comparative study, and sharing session along with the teacher taken place at the FEB Meeting Room at the 4th Floor.
Dr. Atang Hermawan said that his team committed to carry out best collaboration in order to develop academic civitas.
“We also keep pushing to always improve quality and create excellent, competitive, responsive, skilled and agile academic civitas to develop their knowledge in implementing University Tri Dharma,” he said.
Another visit was also carried out by Team of UISU GKM which was kindly welcomed by Head of Unpas SPMI, Dr. Ir. Yusep Ikrawan, M.Sc. The team discussed on several issues related to educational quality assurance.
“SPMI takes responsibilities on the process of planning, implementation, control, and development of standard of higher education quality which is consistent and sustainable,” he explained.
The visit and comparative study was officially closed by the visit of UISU team to Campus V, Unpas Post-graduate School, Jalan Sumatera No. 40, Bandung. (RicoB)*
