BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Doctoral Program of Social Studies, Postgraduate School Universitas Pasundan joins collaboration with Doctoral Progam of Leadership and Policy Innovation (Doktor Kepemimpinan dan Inovasi Kebijakan, DKIK) as well as Doctoral Program of Management and Public Policy Universitas Gadjah Mada to improve research.
Research which will be developed will focus on Administration and Public Policy. The collaboration was agreed on comparative study attended by 26-generation students of Doctoral Program of Social Science to UGM held on Monday, 24 October 2022.
On the same occasion, a visit was also made to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UGM to discuss concrete issues regarding Social Sciences and the creation of international journals.
In addition, another visit was also carried out to Faculty of Social and Political Science Universitas Gadjah Mada. It discussed on issues on dissertation of Social Studies as well as international journal arrangement.
Unpas Vice Director I of Postgraduate School, Prof. Dr. Bambang Heru Purwanto, M.Si. stated that this comparative study has given them a useful result: one of which is knowing the course-learning system in UGM Postgraduate School.
“Each university has its own course-learning. Through this visit, there are a lot of things we can learn from and implement in our course-learning system in Unpas Postgraduate School,” he said.
He said that the visit also confirmed that Unpas Postgraduate School has same thoughts with other university; starting from the process of study completion, matriculation, structured course, supervision, and examination process.
There is even an alignment of closed and open test results, as well as the obligation of students to write accredited international journals.
Although there are some similarities in the course-learning systems at UGM and Unpas, there are two other aspects that differentiate them.
“In the mentoring process, UGM uses two promoters, while Unpas has two professors in the same area. One more thing, Unpas Postgraduate has a special course, namely Sundanese Insights,” he explained. (Reta)**
