BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Department of Visual Communication Design (Desain Komunikasi Visual, DKV) Faculty of Art and Literature Universitas Pasundan sent its five students to attend a student exchange program at Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar on Thursday, 25 August 2022.
This program is part of the grant-fund activities of Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka (PKKM) and MBKM implementation.
The visit of Unpas DKV students were welcomed by Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain, FSRD) ISI Denpasar, Dr. AA Gede Bagus Udayana, M.Si., Head of the Department, as well as Head of Department of Film and TV ISI Denpasar.
Secretary of the Department of Unpas DKV Purmaningrum Maeni, S.Sn., M.Ds. stated that the student exchange program will last for one semester.
“They [the students] take five courses as much as 15 credits, plus independent project, which will later be converted to the courses in the Department of DKV Unpas,” he said, on Thursday, 25 August 2022.
Other than getting new atmosphere, culture and friends, students of Unpas DKV had the opportunity to get to know more about courses which have concerns on local culture and wisdom to be executed through global approach.
These are in line with the local values that Unpas DKV encourages the most. This locality is often brought up as the theme of the final project by students.
Students of ISI Denpasar will also attend the student exchange in Unpas DKV, but there is no further confirmation. “We are still waiting for further information next week, whether there are student coming in to Unpas or not,” he said.
Dean of Unpas FISS Dr. Hj. Senny Suzanna Alwasilah, M.Pd. stated that this kind of program and other MBKM activities will be improved and widen for its reach.
“We will make possible collaboration with other department, between universities, outside university, even with other university abroad,” she said. (Reta)**
