BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Engineering Universitas Pasundan keep showing its best performance, existence and productivity.
In the last one year, students of this faculty, supported by the teacher, have been joining the assistance program from Kemendikbudristek and national competition.
On Monday, 13 June 2022, various achievements obtained by the students and teachers of the faculty were sent to be reported to the Rector on its visit agenda to Rector’s Building, Jalan Tamansari No. 6-8, Bandung.
The visit was attended by Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si., Dean of Faculty of Engineering Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, M.P., Vice Dean III Ir. Bukti Tarigan, M.T., Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Ir. Sugiharto., M.T., Head of Unpas PIIB Ir. Farid Rizayana, M.T., few student representatives of Faculty of Engineering.
As previously reported, there are many students of Faculty of engineering who passed the selection for Kemendikbudristek’s programs: Holistic Program of Village Training and Empowerment (Program Holistik Pembinaan dan Pemberdayaan Desa, PHP2D), Student’s Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa, PKM), Talenta Inovasi Program and Capacity Reinforcement Program (Program Penguatan Kapasitas, PPK) Ormawa.
In additional, Unpas Kart Team has consistently been maintaining its title in Gokart Championship Eshark Rok Cup; in each series of the competition, there is always a racer winning and getting in the podium. Lastly, Imam M. Shavid Sis successfully won the first place in Round 3 at the 2022 Eshark Rok Cup in National Shifter 150.
“Recently, Unpas Team consisting of students of Faculty of Engineering win the 3rd place at Electric Vehicle Design Competition with its design of rural electric bicycle,” said the Dean of Faculty of Engineering Universitas Pasundan, Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, M.P.
Next year, Department of Mechanical Engineering is going to prepare and be the host of Capstone Design Expo and International Symposium on Advances and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering (ISAIME).
Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU appreciated the achievements dedicated by students of Faculty of Engineering. These achievements also support the vision of Unpas in order to reach the title ‘entrepreneurial university’ in 2047.
“I believe, our colleagues, both teachers and students, in Faculty of Engineering Unpas could be able to distribute their ideas and thoughts to reach Unpas vision in 2047. They are going to be the milestone of Unpas vision as well as fulfil the demographic chart and support the program Indonesia Emas,” he said.
According to the Rector, Generation-Z is the owner of technology. If the students are empowered since they were young to create technology innovation and disseminate to the community, not only they could reach Unpas vision, but also the future of Indonesia.
“Thank you to all teachers and students who have been working hard to arrange, publish and diffuse their works. Therefore, the faculty itself could be the centre of innovator and business process engineering,” he concluded. (Reta)**
