BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan Faculty of Social and Political Sciences holds a work-meeting which discusses about a one-year program and implementation of strategic plan of 2021/2022 academic year. The meeting was held at The Green Forest Resort, West Bandung District, on Tuesday & Wednesday, April 6-7th, 2021.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Faculty Senate Prof. Dr. Benyamin Harits, M.Si, Dean of the Faculty Dr. M. Budiana, S.IP., M.Si., Vice Dean I of the Faculty Drs. Kunkunrat, M.Si., Vice Dean II Dra. Yulia Segarwati, M.Si., Vice Dean III of the Faulty Drs. R. H. Sumardhani, M.Si., heads of the department, staff heads of technical implementation unit, head of sub-section and other staffs within Unpas Faculty of Social and Political Science.
In his speech, the Dean said that one of the main emphasized discussions in the meeting is the implementation plan of offline learning in the next July 2021. The faculty tries to prepare the plan, both offline and online, as well as possible.
“One of the discussions in the meeting to set a one-year program is to plan an offline learning in the next July 2021. We have already prepared everything which support the implementation according to Rector’s supervision, indeed by paying attention to the health protocol,” he said.
The preparation set in facing the offline learning included forming a special team to observe the health protocol and appointing the Vice Dean III of Unpas Faculty of Medicine: dr. Trias Nugrahadi, Sp.KN as Faculty’s special health consultant, and improving the practice of anti-gen swab periodically.
Other than preparing the offline learning, the meeting also discussed about the preparation and implementation of New Student Admission (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB)) which has been prepared in such as way and associated with the concept of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).
“We focus more on PMB which is associated with MBKM, because it becomes the main important thing in promoting the Faculty and attracting students in the future,” he said.
The Dean said that other than promoting the faculty, implementation of MBKM in PMB is part of promising service for the new prospective students related to their future as a bachelor in the Faculty.
After the speech was delivered, the event continued with the meeting of Commission I, II and III. Commission I consisted of 13 members, discussing about vision and mission, education, research, community service, publication, teacher recognition and Tri Dharma output. Commission I discussed about governance system, maintenance and collaboration, human resources, finance, as well as facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, Commission III discussed about student training and graduates’ quality, promotion and tracer study of the alumnus.
“This is the third year of the meeting for a one-year program. We need to be serious and focused, because this meeting is important to determine to work performance. Let us encourage each other to create the program,” the Dean explained.
The meeting ended with the plenary session as well embedding the duties and functions with the warrant and structure of the Faculty’s Academic Innovation Study Center (Pusat Kajian Inovasi Akademik (PIKA)). On the second day, the will be continued with teachers’ capacity building. (Reta Amaliyah S)*
