BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Pasundan is currently for undergoing international accreditation for Department of Management.
Dean of Unpas FEB Dr. H. Atang Hermawan, MSIE., Ak., said that the international accreditation will be held in 2023. It has been already prepared and planed before Covid-19 pandemic hit the world.
Apart from being able to obtain global recognition and presenting the university quality, international accreditation becomes form of assurance of public’s trust to Unpas FEB.
“The [international] accreditation is not only about prestige, but also part of public’s guarantee which must be accounted for by Unpas FEB,” he said in the 38th episode of Unpas Talk podcast.
Not only being guaranteed by international accreditation efforts, the quality of FEB Unpas is also supported by BAN-PT accreditation and ISO certification.
“During 46 years of existence, we have tried many development programs. There is no question about quality assurance, of course, because the three study programs have been accredited A for more than 18 years,” he said in the 38th episode of Unpas Talk podcast.
FEB is a faculty that actively collaborates with universities abroad, holds international classes, and does joint research and conference projects.
For these reasons, international accreditation is needed to improve the status of FEB Unpas as a faculty with international standard for each department.
Curriculum Update
Apart from taking effort on international accreditation process, Unpas FEB also ensure the quality of students through the curriculum set with the latest needs of students and being reviewed once every two years.
He thinks that the curriculum is not only about list of subjects/courses, but also the models and methods of learning, and facilities and infrastructure as well.
“Unpas FEB will soon announce for digital laboratory officially. It means that we must adjust our curriculum, not only the concept. We must think thoroughly and systematically and work optimally as well; one of which is by updating curriculum and undergoing international accreditation,” he concluded. (Reta)**
