BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – University has an important role in running the education, teaching, research, development and community service.
In the term of providing community service, university does not only create graduates to work in the company or industry, but also collect and develop the potential of students’ entrepreneurship.
Therefore, Unpas starts to focus on forming the students as excellent entrepreneur that is able to improve themselves, even provide job opportunity for people. One of which is social entrepreneur, a concept that gives changes for people by using the opportunities as well as fixing the system through innovation and solution to a better positive way.
According to President Joko Widodo’s mandate, millennials, including students, are asked to become the booster of the digital economy and help promote MSMEs products online so that they have global competitiveness and have positive impact.
Responding to the need, Unpas is prepared to be the official partner campus at the event of “Year of Entrepreneur Program 2021” and support students to be the booster of digital economy.
“Unpas highly welcomes this collaboration in order to create social entrepreneurs who are able to provide positive impact for the society,” he explained, on Wednesday, 8 September 2021.
The plan is, that there will be a series of activities, including selection of student businesses for incubation, business webinars presenting national figures, and virtual classes or entrepreneur mentoring categorized according to talent interests (craft, culinary, fashion, agribusiness).
To create more social entrepreneurs, students are able to join the competition of MSMEs’ product innovation. Students also have the opportunity to collaborate with Indonesian MSMEs and make them a superior brand. (Reta)*
