BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Indonesian Journal of Sustainability Accounting and Management (IJSAM) maintained by Universitas Pasundan successfully got the Quartile 3 (Q3) at the Jour Citation Indicator (JCI) Clarivate-Web of Sciences Core Collection since June 30th, 2021.
Web of Science is a service for indexing the online-based scientific citation which is maintained by Clarivate Analytics. This year, Clarivate has released an update for Journal Citation Reports (JCR) which makes it possible for community research to evaluate a high-quality academic journal around the world based on the indicators of descriptive data and visualization.
Unpas IJSAM is a specific journal in sustainability area which is created as contribution to achieving sustainable development. This journal emphasizes the interrelationships between environmental, social, and economic issues.
The purpose of this journal is to publish scientific research in the studies of economics, energy, entrepreneurship, environment, management and social. Other than that, it aims to provide theoretical and practical implication to promote business’ decision making, as well as forming a better public policy.
IJSAM was established by Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU who is now also in charge for Editorial Board since 2017 in order to support Tri Dharma.
“Up until 2020, IJSAM has successfully published 8 editions, including writers, editorial boards and reviewers, both from domestic and foreign country,” he said.
The Rector appointed teachers of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Ardi Gunardi, SE., M.Si., CSRS., CSRA as editor-in-chief and Head of Internal Quality Assurance Unit Ir. Yusep Ikrawan, M.Sc., Ph.D as journal quality maintenance division
“IJSAM has successfully gotten its 2nd-ranked SINTA national accreditation from Ministry of Research and Technology of Higher Education (Kementerian Riset and Teknologi Pendidikan Tinggi, Kemenristekdikti) according to the SK No. 34/E/KPT/2018. The first achievement becomes factor to improve quality as one of scientific journals which has international reputation in the continuity division,” the Rector added.
Up until now, IJSAM has already invited writers all around the world and from various discipline of sciences to carry out continuous studies. IJSAM develops publication through Online Journal System (OJS) which makes and publishes articles to be accessed freely by the readers around the world.
In 2019, IJSAM also had ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) indexed and since then, it kept becoming the target of writers, both in domestic and foreign country. In the same year, the journal had Clarivate Web of Science Core Collection: Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) and Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) indexed.
“It is an honor especially for Unpas and generally for Indonesia, to get the achievement. This showed that the journal had been carried out seriously and systematically all these years. It also needed patience in selecting qualified articles which will also guarantee an international reputation and recognition,” he continued.
In the near future, IJSAM will continue to support and manage its reputation stable. One of which is by maintaining the quality of articles being published and organizing better system.
“We expect that with this Q3 rank, IJSAM could motivate other journal managers, both within Unpas, Kemendikbudristek and the others. By these achievement and international reputation, it could facilitate the writer to publish their scientific work in their own country,” he ended. (Reta)*
