BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – The second-generation of 2021 Kampus Merdeka Program has been now getting into training for students joining the program from 22 July – 30 July 2021. Previously, registration and selection process has been opened since last 15 June 2021.
The program gives students opportunity to do the teaching, master various kind of knowledges and skills, as well as represent college students as part of the process in strengthening literacy and numeracy learning in Primary and Junior High School.
In the previous Kampus Merdeka Program, Unpas sent as many as 100 students and 8 teachers who attended and supervised the program as Field Supervisor Teacher (Dosen Pembimbinga Laprangan, DPL)
It was stated by Head of Unpas MBKM Organizing Committee as well as University Coordinator of First-generation Kampus Merdeka Program, Dr. Cartono, M.Pd., M.T. He also stated that Unpas has already its own scheme related to the implementation of BKP MBKM as well as the program itself.
“According to the direction of the Rector, Unpas has each Person in Charge (PIC) based on the nine BKP including internship, research, entrepreneurship, humanity project, thematic KKM, nation’s defence, student exchange and learning assistance in the education unit,” he explained on Tuesday, 27 July 2021.
She also added that Unpas has provided as much opportunities as possible and facilitated all students who are going to attend the MBKM program. In addition, the program also gives positive impact both for students and institurions.
“MBKM program gives positive impacts for students, teachers, study programs and each faculty, thus it can improve the competency based on each capacity,” he explained.
Meanwhile, University Coordinator for Second-generation KM Program, Feby Inggriyani, S.Pd., M.Pd said that the program was quite enthusiastically welcomed by the students registering for it.
“Since the registration was officially opened, there were 174 students and 22 teachers taking part on it. Compared to the previous year, it is an increase,” she said.
Mentioned about the final data of Unpas students and teachers who will participate in Kampus Mengajar Program this time, she said she could not confirm it because she was still waiting for a Decree (Surat Keputusan, SK) from the Directorate General of Higher Education.
“Until last night, Kemendikbudristek was still changing about the school data [registrant], so up until now, we have not received the final data yet. Hope we could get it tomorrow,” she explained.
Currently, there are 105 students and 13 teachers from Unpas who have passed the selection and will join the program. She also said that the committee is currently preparing documents related to coordination with related agencies, as well as with the school that the students will be placed to teach.
“While waiting for the final data, we are now preparing some files, like certificates, which will become valid proof showing that the students participating in the program are really from Unpas. This certificate is a proof for both local office and the school,” she said.
At the moment, Second-generation of Kampus Merdeka Program has few differences compared to previous one which provided teaching program for Primary School only.
“There are few differences. This time, teaching program is not for Primary School student only, but also Junior High. However, specifically for elementary schools, participants are required to teach in schools that have not been accredited or not accredited A, except for junior high schools,” she continued.
In addition, there are few criteria for registrants/participants of Kampus Mengajar program. It requires the undergraduate-level students (at least in 5th semester) of various study programs, minimum GPA 3 out of 4, B-accredited study program from all universities under the Directorate General of Higher Education.
Students that join the program will get their score converted to 20 credits per semester adjusted to each study program. Their tuition fees for one semester also get a discount up to IDR 2,4 million and get IDR 1,2 million for living cost per month. (Rico B)*
