BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Since 2012, Universitas Pasundan has been appointed by South Korean software company, North Star Developer’s Village (NSDevil) as their partner in developing UBT Technology (Ubiquitous Based Test), U-Learning and HBTS (Human Brain Thinking Styles).
Until now, the innovation of the country is still being used properly, especially the HBTS Technology to find out the tendency or domination of graduates’ thinking in determining their choice in work field or other employee’ recruitment.
HBTS is brain and personality analysis test. It is carried out to obtain brief description of human’s brain thinking styles. The result will show the domination pattern or human’s brain thinking styles when they were kids, teenager and adult.
Unpas Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Yufi Garnida, M.P revelead that in Human Resource field, HBTS test is used for recruiting employees. At first, the employee is required to fill the questionnaire by using tablet device installed by latest technology to be analysed.
“HBTS will record the employee’s track to see whether there were significant changes of the concerned person’s behaviour; whether has it been better or worse? This is the result we would like to take as reference if suddenly something happens. How are we going to solve this, that is what we thought,” he said, on Friday, 22 October 2021.
He thought that the use of HBTS for recruiting employees was considered effective and able to make time more useful. It will give recommendation of employee’s selection result which is suitable to the criteria, especially when being viewed from psychology.
“By using HBTS technology, we can obtain the accuracy and speed of analysis result automatically. It also takes shorter time, less than 1 hour until the whole process is done. Based on the result, it can be found which part of the brain is more dominant, because each of them has different characteristics,” he said.
Four parts of the brain will be analysed in HTBS test consisting of front left brain, front right brain, back left brain and back right brain. Not only for obtaining the recommendation result, Unpas will also use the result to provide the training for staffs.
Other than for recruiting the employees, HBTS has also been applied to the graduates’ candidates. It was for providing description about their interest and tendency in working field.
“There are a lot of students who have studied on certain or X department, but they actually do not really fit on it. Unlike with employee’s recruitment, graduates’ test also include the advice, consultation and other descriptions which are only known their own person,” he continued.
He thought that HBTS test is important to direct the graduates in looking for suitable job opportunity. In addition, they can also find out for their self-condition, as well as behaviour and characteristics changing.
“Due to the current condition that has not returned to normal yet, HBTS test for graduates’ candidates is going to be temporarily closed, since it might cause other more dangers/cases. However, it all depends on Rector’s decision when it is going to re-open,” he concluded. (Reta)*
