He said that the program of KIP in the private university refers to the general rules of the Ministry of Education and Culture, including at the registration stage.
The stage is quite different from the state university. In its distribution, private university also involved LLDIKTI. This year, it is possible for an A,B,C-accredited private university to accept students who have KIP Kuliah. Next, the university will inform the quota and requirements.
“Student should further register themselves to their favorite private university and propose their application. Actually, in July or after the National Selection Examination, the private university will select and verify the student based on the requirement,” he explained.
The next stage is, operator for private university will propose for the recipient students of KIP Kuliah who meet the requirements for verification and determination by the Service Center of Educational Fund (Pusat Layanan Pembiayaan Pendidikan, Puslapdik) held by Ministry of Education and Culture. After being confirmed by Puslapdik, the student will get the facilities, including free registration fee, selection test, living cost and tuition fee at the university as well.
“In selecting the recipient student, private university, including Unpas is really selective, because there are some expenses needed to spend every semester. We get the budget allocation as much as IDR 2,4 million, and we are not allowed to withdraw a single rupiah of funds for development, laboratories, Field Work Practice (Praktek Kerja Lapangan, PKL), final assignments and graduation from students who receive KIP Kuliah,” he continued.

“I, as Vice Rector III, requires the Bidikmisi-program-student to be active in the student institution within campus in order to get best and competent graduate who are able to present Unpas, as their campus,” he added.
Running an 8-year experience as part of implementation of Bidikmisi program, Unpas received a lot of appreciation, especially in the reporting aspect. Unpas continues to report according to factual conditions as a commitment to fulfill institutional obligations in honoring the community.
