BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan will host the 15th Regional Work Meeting of Student’s Executive Board (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa) for Indonesia in West Java.
This meeting of student’s movement alliance is scheduled to be held on 12-13 September 2022. Unpas was arranged as host of this meeting, based on the gathering-discussion result of members of West Java BEM SI held recently.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Unpas BEM M. Reza Zakki Maulana stated that the main agenda of the meeting will include a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and description of local issues of each BEM. The meeting will also discuss national issues and seek for its right solution.
“Issues we are discussing about include the multi-crisis at the era of President Jokowi, expecially those related to the ratification of problematic constitutions/laws, such as omnibus law, RKUHP, UU PPP revision, as well as issues about subsidized fuel price-hike,” he said on Saturday, 3 September 2022.
Unpas BEM is currently doing consolidation program to several regions in West Java and strengthen the narration which will later be preparation for starting the movement.
He thought that it became their own challenge since there has been a degradation from students, especially from BEM’s functionaries.
“BEM members’ critical thinking for being aware on the surrounding problems/issues, both at and outside campus, needs to be improved still,” he said.
He said that BEM members’ functionaries should strengthen their activities and often discuss on the latest issues through sustainable discourse. “This should be carried out in each BEM’s agenda,” he concluded. (Reta)**
