BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Welcoming Ramadhan, Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP) Universitas Pasundan holds Mapag Ramadhan at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Unpas Campus II, Jln. Tamansari no. 4-8, Bandung, on Saturday, 26 March 2022.
The event presents Ustaz Wijayanto as a speaker. It was also attended by General Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si., Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU as well as Vice Rectors.
Dean of Unpas FKIP Dr. H. Uus Toharudin, M.Pd stated that mapag Ramadhan is in line with the institutional vision in maintaining and developing Islamic syiar.
“Mapag Ramadhan is also a place for doing silaturahmi between academic civitas, both for those are still active and retired. The knowledge obtained from this will be one of our preparations, education, and also improve our worship to Allah,” he said.
The religious lecture about preparation on welcoming Ramadhan delivered by Ustaz Wijayanto is expected to be a reminder for us to do the fasting warm-heartedly.
“Let us do the [Ramadhan] fasting sincerely, avoid doing what are forbidden, to make our worship get Allah SWT’s blessing. We hope all academic civitas in Unpas FKIP could do the fasting as good as possible, accompanied with zakat, infaq and alms which can enrich our reward during fasting,” he added.
Along with mapag, Unpas FKIP also launched Amil Zakat Institution, called Walahar, as a place/forum to accommodate and distribute zakat, infaq and alms from Unpas FKIP academic civitas.
“Walahar is a franchise institution established for building social awareness religiously. It is expected to be able to remind Unpas FKIP academic civitas about the importance of doing good deeds. Later, the result collected will be distributed to others in need,” he hoped.
Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Sc., M.Kom., IPU said that mapag Ramadhan is a representation of Sundanese culture which needs to be preserved. According to him, this culture becomes the uniqueness in welcoming Ramadhan.
“Mapag or coming after Ramadhan encourages us to prepare ourselves with freedom. We will fight on our lust for 30 days, so do the worship of shaum sincerely and other good deeds joyfully,” he advised. (Reta)*
